Tastes that cross borders

Dubai Chocolate Bar by Melissa Malwitz From TP in the USA

INGREDIENTS

HOW TO PREPARE

• 2 tablespoons melted butter • 100 grams kataifi dough (shredded phyllo) • ½ cup pistachio butter • 1/8 cup peanut butter (optional) • 1 teaspoon tahini (optional) • 100 grams milk chocolate, chopped • 50 grams white chocolate, chopped

01. Heat the melted butter in a pan. Add the kataifi dough, tossing until golden brown and crisp. Transfer it to a pie skillet or a similar container. 02. Spread the pistachio butter evenly over the crispy kataifi. Adjust the consistency by adding more pistachio butter or a small amount of peanut butter if needed. 03. Chop the white chocolate and milk chocolate. Melt them separately. If preferred, drizzle white chocolate over the pistachio layer for a decorative effect. 04. Pour the melted milk chocolate over the pistachio mixture, spreading evenly. 05. Pack the kataifi and pistachio mixture into the chocolate casing. Top with more melted chocolate to seal. 06. Refrigerate between each layer to allow it to firm up before adding the next. 07. Once set, cut the chocolate into bars.

Note: Store in the refrigerator and serve chilled.
