Years of Synergy
S ynergy started with myself, my husband, and one other employee. This was in 2012. Since we opened our doors, we’ve grown, we’ve created jobs, and the community has embraced us and the work we do. Today, our staff has expanded to 20 people. This is a group of people I am proud to call my team. Over the past five years, we have certainly had our fair share of challenges, along with the successes. These were challenges we persevered through, one step at a time. There was a time when we dealt with flooding. Then, there was nearby construction that caused all kinds of headache. But we didn’t let these things get us down. Every challenge opens the door for creativity. Our staff is made up of imaginative and thoughtful people who came together to keep operations going, no matter what. There’s nothing more encouraging than seeing our staff step up and keep the focus squarely on our patients. There’s also the challenge that comes with serving a military community. Over the years, we’ve had to work with a higher level of turnover as families come and go. It’s an in interesting challenge to face, and in many ways, it’s helped make our team that much stronger.
We’ve worked hard to assemble a team of like-minded individuals who are not only committed to our vision of care, but who can look back at us and see a clinic where they can grow as professionals and within community.
Early on, and when we were building our team, some people had their doubts. They thought it might be a gamble to work with new business. But they saw the potential in what John and I had put together. The more we grew, the more we were able to innovate and that doubt became a thing of the past. Through innovation, we were able to create opportunities that aren’t available anywhere else. Now that we are a team of 20, we are delivering more to our patients and our community than ever before, from trigger point dry needling to tai chi group fitness classes. You’ll even find us out and about at local sporting events and at high schools, where we do screenings and offer advice to our young athletes healthy and active in the sports they love. And speaking of our young athletes, with school back in session for the fall, we’ve extended our hours of operation. That’s another great thing about having a staff of 20! We know, with kids back
at school and just about everyone else back at work, that it’s not always convenient to see a therapist during traditional working hours. We want to be there for you when you need us. I’m excited to see where we go next. The past five years have been an amazing ride, and I’m glad to have spent it with such an amazing group of people, challenges, successes, and all!
