Whilst recognising that it is still early days, we will be looking to discover what the impact or perceived impact has been to an organisation as a result of the publication of their figures.

To date 926 employers have uploaded their report to the gender pay gap viewing service ; this figure is increasing in pace on a daily basis, but is still only just over 10% of the 9,000 employers who should be reporting by 30 March (public sector) and 4 April (private and voluntary sector).

We will be running this survey for two weeks (closes midnight on Wednesday 28 February).

Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your experiences.

Numbers of employers reporting their Gender Pay Gaps slowly rises 5 March 2018

Shared parental leave, flexible working legislation, 30 hrs free childcare and tax free childcare all share one common goal which is to provide Government support and commitment together with Gender Pay Gap (GPG) reporting that will improve the diversity and opportunity within the workplace for all. No option on its own offers a silver bullet, but taken together with many other government sponsored and voluntary initiatives it is hoped that they will go a long way towards changing attitudes and working practices and thus reduce the gender pay gap that exists in the UK. As we count down towards the first reporting deadlines for employers (with 250 or more employees) the viewing service continues to reflect a small increase in the number of employers who have uploaded their Gender Pay Gap (GPG) results to the GPG reporting service . In addition to reporting results using the GPG reporting service employers must also publish their GPG results together with a written statement on their public facing website. A narrative that also explains how the employer may be addressing any imbalance that might exist, whilst not compulsory, is being strongly encouraged and if you have yet to publish your results, there are already many good examples available in the public domain that could provide you with useful pointers and ideas.

Will International Women’s Day see a surge in gender pay gap reports? 8 March 2018

Today is International Women's Day which is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first March 8 IWD gathering supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Prior to this the Socialist Party of America, United Kingdom's Suffragists and Suffragettes, and further groups campaigned for women equality.

Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organisation specific.
