HMRC expenses and benefits live webinars for employers 30 January 2018

HMRC is running a series of live webinars for payroll which cover employee travel, company cars, vans and fuel and entertaining staff.

The following expenses and benefits webinars are coming up over the next week; follow the links to book your place:

Entertaining staff If you provide social functions, parties or subsidised meals for your employees, find out if the costs are taxable and

whether you need to report them to HMRC. Thursday 1 February – midday to 12.40pm

Expenses and benefits for employers – an introduction: If you’re new to expenses and benefits, this basic overview will get you started. You’ll find out what expenses and benefits are, what’s taxable and non-taxable and the records you need to keep. Monday 5 February - 10am to 11am Book now Expenses and benefits – case studies: Using typical examples, this webinar shows you how to deal with employee expenses and benefits about employee medical insurance, payment of personal bills and trivial benefits. Monday 5 February – 10am to 11am Book now Expenses and benefits – employee travel: Join us in this live webinar to find out how to deal with travel and subsistence expenses, as well as mileage payments made to employees using their own vehicles for business travel. Tuesday 6 February – 3pm to 4pm Book now Expenses and benefits – company cars, vans and fuel: If your employees or directors have private use of a company car or van, this webinar tells you what you need to do for tax and National Insurance purposes and which details you should record.
