Paying HMRC – what’s changing 21 November 2017
HMRC is hosting another Talking Points online meeting about the removal of the Post Office Transcash service from 15 December 2017.
Payments through a Post Office to HMRC will only be allowed until 14 December 2017. You can join this latest meeting on Monday 27 November from midday to 1pm, to find out about all the alternative electronic payment methods that are available - Register here .

Jim Harra appointed as Second Permanent Secretary at HMRC 6 December 2017
Jim Harra has been appointed second permanent secretary at HMRC, following Edward Troup’s upcoming retirement from the tax authority
The Second Permanent Secretary role was created following Edward Troup’s announcement of his retirement at the end of this year. Jim Harra’s appointment means that HMRC continues to have a tax professional as one of its two Permanent Secretaries.
