Daikin Ireland appoints new GM
Daikin, a global leader in heating, ventilation, AC and refrigeration, has appointed Kyrian Opstaele as its new general manager for Ireland. Kyrian, who has more than 20 years of experience with Daikin, has been promoted from deputy general manager. He succeeds Michael Sheehan, who is retiring after more than a decade with the company including seven years as general manager. “We are at a crucial moment in the further deployment of heat pumps and other products that allow Irish homeowners, businesses and sectors of industry to reduce their carbon footprint by becoming more energy efficient,” said Kyrian. “I would like to acknowledge Michael Sheehan’s outstanding contribution to Daikin Ireland over the past 10 years. He leaves the company in great shape, and we are immensely grateful to him. Together with the management team, I’m looking forward to building further on this, strengthening the identity of Daikin in Ireland.” www.daikin.ie
