A former attorney, he established Oklahoma City University’s varsity rowing program and spearheaded the development of the Boathouse District, including the Chesapeake and Devon Boathouses. Under his leadership, Oklahoma City has hosted numerous prestigious events, earning recognition as an official U.S. Olympic Training Site. Knopp’s accolades include the USRowing Jack Kelly Award and multiple honors for community service. He resides in Oklahoma City with his wife and their three sons, while actively supporting local youth and outdoor initiatives.

After beginning his insurance career with The Travelers, Mike Ross joined INSURICA in 1985 as a commercial lines producer. In 1996, he became vice president of sales and then was appointed president in 1999. Today, Mike is president and CEO of INSURICA, one of the 50 largest agencies in the country. Mike Widell Oklahoma State University Vice President of Operations & Director of Workforce Partnerships 405-315-2615 as vice president, interim president and currently serves as vice president of operations and director of workforce partnerships for the Oklahoma City campus. Widell has served in leadership roles for the State of Oklahoma as the state deputy secretary of workforce development; workforce liaison to the National Governors Association; and chief administrative officer and deputy director of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. Widell holds an MBA, and he is currently pursuing his Ed.D. in educational leadership and innovation from Arizona State University. With 40 years of public and private leadership, Michael Widell has served a combined 20 years at Oklahoma State University in executive roles
