CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT

GOLDEN AVENUE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT‌‌

The City is preparing to replace the existing Golden Avenue Bridge with a new two-lane structure that will include sidewalks, bike lanes, a striped median, hand railings, and related grading, drainage, and utility improvements. The $6 million project is anticipated to begin construction in January 2026 and is funded by Measure U, the Highway Bridge Program (HBP), and Community Project Funding/ Congressionally Directed Spending (CPFCDS).

FY 2024–25 RESIDENTIAL STREET REHABILITATION‌

This project will rehabilitate approximately one million square feet of residential pavement in the area bounded by Bastanchury Road, Yorba Linda Boulevard, Brookhaven Avenue, and Stanley Avenue. The work will also include minor sidewalk, curb, and gutter repairs. With a budget of $2.25 million, construction is expected to start in November 2025, funded through Measure U, SB 1/RMRA, Measure M, and Gas Tax revenues.

OLD TOWN FAÇADE IMPROVEMENT AT‌‌ 330 W. SANTA FE AVENUE‌‌

As part of ongoing efforts to revitalize Old Town Placentia, the property at 330 W. Santa Fe Avenue is undergoing exterior façade improvements, including new signage, paint, windows, lighting, and architectural enhancements. This $226,099 project, federally funded by CDBG, is underway and expected to be completed in December, 2025.

FY 2025–26 ANNUAL SIDEWALK AND CURB RAMP REPAIR PROJECT‌‌

To improve pedestrian accessibility to local schools, new curb ramps will be installed along Brookhaven Avenue, along with repairs and replacements of damaged or uplifted sidewalk. The $140,162 project is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and is expected to begin construction in October 2025.
