Les Nationals de Rockland ont réussi à remporter un match contre les Junior Senators d’Ottawa, le lendemain d’une défaite humiliante aux mains de ceux-ci. Les joueurs de Rockland accueillaient les Junior Senators le 21 décembre dernier, à l’aréna de Rockland. Aucune des deux équipes n’a réussi à marquer lors de la première période, suite à des performances extraordinaires des deux gardiens de but. En deuxième période, les Junior Senators ont réussi à marquer à deux reprises. C’est donc Toppa, aidé d’Alexander, et Cole, ainsi que Cole, aidé de Toppa et Smart ont compté pour Ottawa, tandis que Sullivan, aidé de Graham et Menges, a marqué pour Rockland. Malheureusement pour Rockland, l’offensive d’Ottawa a décimé la défensive des Nats en troisième période. Toppa, aidé d’Egan et de Rowe, Cole, aidé de Boulerice et Jackson, ont tous deux marqué pour Ottawa, suivi d’Hilton, aidé de Smart ainsi que Jackson, aidé de Smart et Hilton, ont ensuite marqué, toujours pour Ottawa. Cole a compté à deux reprises. Pour sa part, Graham a marqué pour les Nationals, aidé de Lafrance.

Trystan Lavoie punched in a pair of goals for the Cougars and assisted on one other goal during the game. Scoring single points for Vankleek Hill were Shayne Allen, Hugo Blanchard, Nicolas Castonguay, Tyler Dopel- hamer, Vincent Huneault, Justin Labrosse, and Jonathan Leblanc. Also assisting on the goals were Blanchard, Castonguay, Labrosse, Nikolas Ayotte, Justin Chaumont, Keean McEachern, Danny Plourde-Grenon, and Jacob Victor, with Alexander Labrèche guarding the net. Samuel Paquette scored a hat trick for the Royals with Justin Proulx popping in the remaining Bytown goal. Assists came from William Lachapelle and Nicolas Loyer. Tye Agardy was in the net. As of the end of December, the Cougars sit in second place in the National Capital Junior Hockey League with 34 points. The Clarence Creek Castors lead with 37. The Cougars will host the Castors January 5 at the Vankleek Hill Arena, then they go on the road Sunday to face the Gatineau Hull-Volant.

The Clarence Creek Castors split their final games of December in the National Capital Junior Hockey League schedule. The Castors lost 6-4 to the Gatineau Hull-Volant on December 21 but edged out Saint-Isidore 4-3 at home the fol- lowing Sunday afternoon. Scoring two goals each for Clarence Creek against Gatineau were Aiden Cannell and Zack Lugli. Goal assists came from Étienne Agius-Pease, Roman Cannell, Kyle Green, Patrick Lemay, and Caleb Smith.
