EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: TALIA MEET OUR RESIDENT MOVIE BUFF!

Talia’s bubbly, outgoing personality is a beacon of light here at the Marshall Orthodontics office! Ever since she came on board as our records coordinator last September, she’s been keeping us going with her big smiles, positive attitude, and bottomless movie facts. With some creativity, Talia has been able to continue her favorite hobby while social distancing. “I’m always on Netflix and watching TV shows and stuff like that,” Talia says. “I definitely like going to movie theaters, too, but that’s not really an option right now. Thankfully, our drive-in theater is still open! It has been really fun to go with my family on weekends — you just pull up and watch from your car.” “The Invisible Man” starring Elisabeth Moss and Aldis Hodge was one of Talia’s favorite flicks this spring, but she’s always up for recommendations! Feel free to offer one next time you come in — you can’t miss Talia, especially if you remember meeting her on your first visit. She’s the one who handles new patients, helping with their records, pictures, and X-rays.

Technical College with a degree in dental assisting last August and jumped right into working for us, even though her shadowing experience was in pediatric dentistry. “I could have done kids’ dentistry or dental prosthetics like dentures, but I knew from doing rotations in school that orthodontics was my favorite for sure,” Talia says. “I think that’s because I had braces myself, so I know how important it is for people to feel confident in their smiles. I like being part of that journey!” Talia hopes to take her skills to the next level and is training to become an orthodontic assistant. She also loves dabbling in the other work we do. “I find myself always asking, ‘How can I help?’” Talia says. “I just enjoy jumping in and doing anything I can wherever I can, especially helping out in our lab with the full process of making retainers, or even doing emails and paperwork for the treatment coordinators and financial coordinator.”

Talia, from all of us at Marshall Orthodontics, thank you for all you do!

In addition to movies, Talia is passionate about orthodontics. She graduated from Greenville
