Last but not least, we would like to take this opportunity to honor our President, Heather Liles. She served as President in 2020 and stepped up again to serve in 2021. We are so grateful to her for navigating PBADOA through the tricky times of covid, helping set up our webinars, updating our by-laws, and finding a new venue for PBADOA to have our luncheons. She also successfully coordinated with PALTA to have joint monthly luncheons. Not to mention all the other duties that come with being President. Hello from West Texas! Can you believe the holidays are here?! PBADOA has been in full swing and working hard to pave the way for a successful 2022. Our nominating committee has approved our candidates for our 2022 Board and voting will take place in December. We are very grateful to those members who have stepped up to volunteer their time and hard work to ensure PBADOA continues to provide educational opportunities that will benefit our members. PBADOA is excited to continue our joint luncheons with our fellow group PALTA (Permian Basin Lease Title Analysts). For our October luncheon, we welcomed Candace LaBron, Land Representative with Chevron USA Inc. In the spirit of Halloween, Candace wanted to present a spooky topic: “Leasing: Beyond the Grave”. She gave us a very interesting insight on minerals underneath private and public cemeteries along with the leasing issues it can bring. We appreciate her making the effort to come and present to our members. In November, we look forward to hearing from Chairman Wayne Christian from the Texas Railroad Commission. He will be joining us virtually for a live special presentation on November 10th. PBADOA is very excited for the opportunity to hear from him. Lastly, we have been planning our December Social. We look forward to visiting, playing some games, winning prizes, and donating to one of our local charities.
