WDCGA, the Women’s District of Columbia Golf Association, commonly referred to as “District”, is gearing up for an exciting 2023 season! WDCGA has approximately 450 members from 28 Clubs in the Metropolitan area. Its prestigious history began in 1924 and continues strong as it is about to celebrate the 100 th year anniversary! All eligible ANCC women are invited to join. Requirements are membership in either the 18-Hole Women’s Golf Organization or Career Women’s Golf Organization, a 21.9 or lower handicap index at the time of joining, and be an ac- tive player that has posted 20 scores in the past 12 months. The schedule is almost complete and offers many cups and tournaments with varying formats to be held at ANCC as well as at a host of other Clubs throughout the area. The season kicks off 15 April with the popular Ice Breaker tournament at Argyle Country Club and runs into October. The Arlington Fairfax County Womens’ Golf Organization (ARFAX) was organized in 1962. Arny Navy were one of the nine founding member clubs. Every year, ARFAX administer Team Matches and Five Tournaments. In 2023, Army Navy will send three Teams in Divisions I, II and IV. The following are the members of the Army Navy Team: Marie Anderson, Pam Quinn, Didi Summers, Amy Hawkins, Andi Carpenter, Linda Nguyen, Becky Harper, Kathleen Nilles, Danielle Hetzler, Mary Blair, Nancy Morales, Lorraine Hixon, Deena Hollingsworth, Mary Ann Cronin, Marcia Summers, and Sherrie Balko.
