Bob Collins

Bob Collins earned varsity letters in football (3X), wrestling (1X) and baseball (4X) for the Golden Falcons of BRHS West. In football he was named an All - Conference player in his junior and senior years. He is most notably remem- bered for his talents on the baseball field. Collins led the Falcons to the Group II State Championship Title in 1989, with an ERA of 1.12 and a record of 11 - 2. At one point Bob won 18 games in a row between his sophomore and junior seasons. In his senior season he was named to the All - State First team. In addition to his prowess on the mound Collins also batted over .300. He was named the Home - News Player of the Year and played in the All - Star Game at Yankee Stadium. Bob also was awarded the A.J. Troisi Award for Best Male Athlete in 1990. Bob also held the record for most strikeouts with 351. Bob is the only base- ball player to have his number (21) retired at BRHS West.

Scott McHenry

Scott McHenry played Baseball and Basketball for the Min- utemen of BRHS East. He was named to the All - Area Base- ball team twice by The Courier - News. He was also named to the All Mid - State Conference Team. During his career for the Minutemen McHenry pitched two consecutive no - hitters. As a junior pitcher he had an ERA of 0.12. Despite missing half the season with an injury. McHenry led East to the Central Jersey Group III baseball championship in 1971. He also compiled a record 19 career victories. He ended his career with 4 no - hitters and a career ERA of 0.24. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves and played his college baseball at Princeton.
