Introduction

Dear Applicant, Thank you for taking the time to find out more about the appointment of the Diocesan Surveyor at the Diocese of Salisbury. The Diocesan Surveyor is responsible for the care and maintenance of 235 clergy properties, and other diocesan buildings. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that all operational houses, are managed effectively on behalf of occupiers in addition to maximising the missional and financial return and to inspect and schedule repair of clergy housing on a rotational five-year basis (the Quinquennial surveys). The appointment offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the lives of the clergy within the Diocese, within an organisation which supports the wider and local community.
