Des centaines de toitures de bâtiments ont étés endommagées par les vents violents du derecho du 21 mai. « On est débordé, affirme Jean-François Lalonde, propriétaire de Tekpro. On a eu au-dessus de 100 réclamations ». Dans une semaine habituelle, la compagnie fait environ une demi-douzaine de réparations. On sépare ce qui est urgent et pas urgent. » Galli et Lalonde ont tous deux affirmés que les réparations vont prendre environ un an à compléter. Plusieurs toits ont des dégâts mineurs seulement. « Si on voit du bois, même si c’est mineur, ça prend une réparation » explique Mr. Galli.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a Champlain man for posses- sion of child pornography. Michael Belanger, 71, was arrested after child pornography was found on several electronic devices in his possession.
