The 30 th year of CWGO is proving to be one of its best! Speaking of the 30 th Anniversary, please mark your calendars for our special Anniversary celebration on 7 August. It will include a fun 9-hole scramble followed by a party in the Arlington Ballroom. More information is available on the Club calendar. A special congratulations goes to our winners of the May Charity Tournament! Ann Repczynski, Kelly McGowan, Carin Carithers, & Sherrie Balko tied Emily McGee, Bev Winston, Mary Ann Cronin & Rebecca Gansca for first place. Most importantly, CWGO raised over $1,400 for its Breast Cancer Care Bags that are given to those going through cancer treatment at Ft. Belvoir and Walter Reed National Military Medical Centers. Well done ladies! CWGO Interclub is off to a great start as ANCC stood tall against Trump National, defeating them 38-34. The opponents put up their best players but they could not compete with our lineup which included Maile Fries, Gwen Maurice, Margaret Ann Connors, Tina Gwilliam, Jennifer Lednicky, Sherrie Balko, Lucie Phillips and Mary Ann Cronin. Way to represent ANCC! There are lots of great opportunities to participate in CWGO this month. We will host the Keller Cup on 11 June and the 9-hole Summer Solstice on 15 June. CWGO match play begins this month as well as our regular weekly play. You can sign up for any of these activities via the Club Calendar. And don’t forget to sign up for the 2-day Ladies Member-Guest on 28-29 June. If anyone is interested in joining CWGO, we would love to have you! WNHGO is happy to welcome our newest member, Susan McAdoo to the group. We also want to remind members that starting in June and continuing through August, WNHGO tee times will run from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at both Arlington and Fairfax. Upcoming June Events : 1) The Haffey Tournament is a two-day Ringer event played in Arlington on 3 June and 10 June. Day One requires sign up using the Google Doc “Tee Times” sheet. The first day is flexible, you may walk or ride. However, Day Two will have an 8:30 AM Shotgun start, so please arrive for check-in no later than 8:00 AM. You will be paired with the same team that you played with on Day One. Note : If you can only play one day, you are welcome to participate in this event, but you will not be able to compete for the prize and will be charged the $7 entry fee. There is no formal/planned luncheon for the event.
