Begin by using the fact that AB = BC to write an equation using the expressions for AB and BC given in the figure. Solve this equation for x and then substitute the value of x into the given expressions to find AB and BC . Once AB and BC are known, the Segment Addition Postulate can be used to find the length of AC .
