A critical aspect of this education is the focus on developing the future leadership of worldwide Jewry and the focus of instilling a sense of shared responsibility and communal obligation in all students. The secondary mission is to provide a resource for Torah learning and Jewish growth for the greater Dallas community.
Texas Academy of Math and Science (Boarding School @ UNT in Denton) (entering 11 Th Grade Only)
The Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS) is a unique residential program for high school-aged Texas students who are high achievers and interested in mathematics and science. While living in McConnell Hall, students in this two-year program complete a rigorous academic curriculum of college coursework at the University of North Texas (UNT). Instruction is by regular university faculty. There are no high school courses taught, but students enjoy many of the activities of high school and the company of age mates who are intellectual peers.

Eligibility: TAMS applicants must be Texas residents enrolled in the tenth grade or equivalent. Geometry, Algebra I & II must be completed by the end of the sophomore year. A sophomore SAT is required, and scores must be competitive with those of college-bound seniors who plan to major in math or science. The SAT is only one of several factors which determines admission. Applicants are however, cautioned that only competitive scores ensure eligibility; that not all applicants who earn competitive scores will be admitted. Finally, no specific score guarantees entry.
NOTES: Application is during sophomore year.
