C oldwell Banker Realty has continually found itself on top with 16 wins over the years in the NorthBay biz Best of the North Bay readers’ poll—solidifying the company’s position in our inaugural Hall of Fame class. “Our innovative approach to attracting and retaining the very best talent has created a momentum and culture that has made an impact on the entire team,” says Jennifer Lind, regional president for the West. “It has been driven by specializing in what agents need to get results in today’s market.” Adds Lind: “Coldwell Banker Realty is constantly focused on finding a better way. Doing this allows us to focus on delivering more value to agents and consumers, alike.” Coldwell Banker was born from the ashes of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, when devastated homeowners were searching for a ray of hope. This inspired Colbert Coldwell to create a real estate company—Tucker, Lynch & Coldwell—based on integrity, as Coldwell highly disapproved of agents at the time taking advantage of vulnerable property owners after the natural disaster. In 1913, as the company continued expanding, Coldwell met Benjamin Arthur Banker and the two became partners, forming Coldwell Banker. Coldwell agents have access to the Coldwell Banker Luxury Network in order to cater to the highly visible and higher-end housing market. Coldwell Banker Realty is currently owned and operated by Realogy Brokerage Group—which consists of over 56,000 independent real estate agents across the United States. Lind is in charge of daily operations of over 4,000 agents from Carmel to Tahoe, including San Francisco, Silicon Valley, the North Bay and Sacramento. Lind explains that clients want to work with agents that have an understanding of the market and value customer service. “We are constantly listening and leading to provide marketing tools as well as transactional excellence that are developed with our agents so they can best serve clients and help them achieve their ultimate homeownership goals,” says Lind. v
