W hen it’s time to hit the greens, North Bay golfers prefer a course with a beautiful ambiance and great amenities. NorthBay biz readers have spoken—and Windsor Golf Club tops the Best Golf Course category, cementing its popularity among North Bay golfers. Demian Reddy, Windsor Golf Club marketing and sales director, says there are many reasons why the public course has won local golfing enthusiasts’ affection. He noted that there’s no housing within the club’s boundaries. That means golfers can enjoy more than 200 uninterrupted acres in the gently rolling landscape—dotted with lakes, a meandering creek and majestic oaks. This award-winning golf course has a full-grass driving range and practice facility with multiple putting greens. There is a well-equipped pro shop on-site stocked with anything a golfer may be looking for, as well as PGA instructors to help with every aspect of your game.

Head Chef Robert Negoesco, left, shared a toast with Demian Reddy in the outdoor dining area of the golf course.

Windsor Golf Club has been part of the PGA Nationwide Tour, the LPGA Symetra Tour and is ready to host local tournaments. Although it’s a public golf course there are affordable memberships that keep avid golfing enthusiasts happy. The golf club also has a popular on-site restaurant called Charlie’s

and a weekend brunch. Reddy says its employees help create a contagiously inviting atmosphere in both the pro shop and the restaurant and he believes they’ve been instrumental in helping win this award. Reddy himself is a member of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) and has enjoyed an extensive career in the golf industry before stepping into his position at Windsor Golf Club. He says he’s always felt a sense of pride and expertise since becoming a member of the PGA of America. “I believe this gives our company an advantage as I can look at all situations from both perspectives—as a golf enthusiast myself and from an administrative, budget-minded, profitability point of view,” he says. Reddy says he enjoys working at Windsor Golf Club because of the people and his love for the game. “I get to work in a positive environment where people are happy to be there and discuss an industry I’m passionate about,” he says. Reddy describes it as gratifying to have won Best Golf Course in the North Bay. “We want to stay motivated and continue looking for ways to improve the customer’s experience.” v
