What I did: I performed updates on daily reports for the company, including production summaries and global inventory. I assist in updating all shipping and receiving data, as well as making inventory changes within the new database. More recently I have been assisting in cycle counts, my department goes around and performs checks for all material within the storage area for all machines and confirms the numbers within our software database. What I liked: I like how laid back my position is. I have had a few complications during the summer so far and my supervisors have been super understanding and are willing to accommodate whatever my needs may be. The ‘real-world’ experience I have been getting is enjoyable and I appreciate the fact that I have been able to develop my understanding regarding my field of study and others that are closely related. I have also appreciated many of the tips and tricks I have learned for apps within Microsoft Office, as well as the fact that I have been able to apply things I have learned in the classroom. Future Dream Job: As of right now, I still do not have a dream job. I would like to get more experience before choosing a dream job. Currently, I am interested in the human resources aspect of business administration and the money aspect, specifically financial analysis.
