LINDSEY O’BRIEN ’24

MAJOR Management HOMETOWN Fond du Lac, Wis. ORGANIZATION Soul Patina Ripon, Wis. TITLE Assistant Manager and Buyer

What I did: •

Opening and closing of store

• Checking out customers using Square POS system. Being able to perform regular transactions as well as returns and selling gift cards. Updating the Square system as needed as new products are added. • Restocking items as they sell and rearrange the floor and shelves. • Use social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to post content daily. • Update the website with new product and photos • Perform basic duties such as cleaning windows, floors, and bathroom. As new shipments of clothes come in, they will need to be steamed, priced, and put out on floor. What I liked: I loved it all! It made it even more clear to me that this is what I want to do after college! I love getting to talk to customers and helping them with anything they need. Seeing the styles for the year is also very fun. It’s just such a fun environment I just love it! Future Dream Job: After college I want to own my own clothing store and coffee shop in one. It would be a bigger the building split in half and one on each side. At first I will just open as a boutique and as I grow and make some money I will open the coffee shop side. So people can come in for coffee, bakery, go shopping, or do it all in one place! Eventually I would like to open a man shop too for the guys, but I need to stick to one thing at a time first! The boutique would be your typical boutique – clothes, accessories, gifty items and a few other things.
