What I did: During my first month, I started two different projects. The first one dealt with the internal Web Development team. The scope included designing a new Web Development Scope document and identifying key owners for the websites owned by the company. My second project was to help identify waste in the process steps in the Marketing department (there is a lot, especially through communication). What I liked: I really enjoyed collaborating with different people throughout the organization. I learned a lot about project management and how to handle change management within an organization. Future Dream Job: My dream job is to do project management/continuous improvement consulting while living aboard a sailboat with my significant other. I would take clients when it fit with my sailing schedule, as I would want to travel from harbor to harbor in my off time.
