MAJOR Business Administration HOMETOWN Edgar, Wis. ORGANIZATION Lighting Design Solutions Schofield, Wis. TITLE Lighting Specialist
What I did: My internship consisted of numerous responsibilities. To name a few, I was responsible for invoicing, handling payments, managing our QuickBooks account, processing customer incentive plans, and drawing up lighting plans for various jobs. Depending on project schedules, my day-to-day varied each week. What I liked: My favorite part of the internship was creating the drawing plans. I’m so happy I got this opportunity as it has made me consider switching to an interior architectural major. While this decision is a little overwhelming being that I only have three semesters left of my current major, I absolutely loved creating different plans. I truly think that I would be happy with this decision in the long run. I also found out that I loved working from home. I always said I wouldn’t like to work from home, but this opportunity has proved otherwise. Overall, I loved my internship experience and am happy to share that I will continue to work here throughout the school year! Future Dream Job: Before this internship, I would have told you that my dream job would have been to open and run my own boutique. I have always loved fashion and working in retail. However, after this opportunity, I would love to become an interior designer. Although it may be a lot of work, I would love to be able to do both sides of the design. It would be amazing if I could create the actual building plans and do the décor end of things as well. I truly believe there are no limits in reaching your dreams and I can’t wait to see where my education takes me!
