Installing a heating element Horizontally? We suggest only choosing the KTX & TS1 Probe or VEO & Smart Probe options only (avoid choosing the clock face elements). These options are the best choice of heating element for horizontal installation as you have full control the internal positioning. These probes have a longer part (light grey) and a shorter capillary (dark grey) which is the temp sensor. When screwed in the capillary should be located underneath the long probe, not above it (as this

can read erroneous temp readings, so the radiator might not heat correctly and the thermal fuse can cut out causing the element to stop working). There is a small indent on the external collar of the probe to denote the position of the capillary which should be between 4 and 8 on a clock face for optimal performance.
