• be constructed of chain wire or similar material approved by the builder ; • be placed a minimum 1.0m from the edge of the partly completed or existing swimming pool; • completely surround the swimming pool perimeter; • be securely clamped or locked to prevent access; • display safety signage clearly stating "Danger No Unauthorised Entry"; and • detailing an emergency after hours contact telephone number.
Please note: The Security Fencing is in addition to any existing pool fencing.
The Security Fencing must remain in place throughout the building period .
PERIODIC INSPECTIONS
2.03
During the builder’s possession of the site , the builder’s site manager will periodically inspect the site's Performance Cover and/or Security Fencing. If at any time it is found that the Performance Cover and/or Security Fencing is/are not in accordance with this policy, construction works will immediately cease on the site until the Performance Cover and/or Security Fencing is repaired or replaced to the satisfaction of the builder’s site manager.
2.04 SWIMMING POOL TREATMENT
During the builder’s possession of the site upon which a completed filled swimming pool is located, if an owner requires access to treat the water in the pool, the owner shall contact the builder’s site manager to arrange a mutually convenient time. The owner will only be permitted access to the site in the company of the builder’s site manager.
3.0 SITE SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
SWIMMING POOLS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
3.01
The builder will not take possession of the site where a swimming pool is under construction until:
• construction work on the swimming pool has been completed up to and including the swimming pool shell; • all materials, such as reinforcement bars and star pickets, are removed or appropriately stored to the satisfaction of the builder’s site manager; • a Performance Cover , as detailed above, is installed and completed to the satisfaction of the builder ; and • a Security Fence, as detailed above, is installed and completed to the satisfaction of the builder . Once the builder has possession of the site , no additional work may be carried out on a partly completed swimming pool by the owner or the owner's contractor until the building works are completed and the builder
