Are you ready for the Averitt Cares for Kids Family Softball Tournament? We certainly are, and we can’t wait to see you there! This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17 , and based on the incredible feedback we received from last year’s tournament, it will once again take place in Cookeville at the Cane Creek SportsPlex. The Averitt Cares for Kids Family Softball Tournament is a free, family- friendly day with lots of food and drinks, as well as games and activities for kids. Last year’s tournament featured a record 25 teams and more than 1,350 associates, family members and friends. We can’t wait to see the turnout for this year! As in years past, our softball tournament is an outstanding way to shine the spotlight on our commitment to Associate Sharing , specifically through Averitt Cares for Kids and the good works of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In fact, Averitt's matching contribution to support the good works of St. Jude was boosted by the number of volunteers, attendees and participants at the 2023 event. We hope you’ll mark your calendar and come out to the diamond so we can make an even bigger impact.

The contribution included a company match of $1 million in honor of Team Up Community Challenge activities, as well as recognition of associate milestones, anniversaries and life events.
