3.1Definition& Advantages

Definition:

Visual merchandising is a retail strategy that maximises the aesthetics of a product with the intent to increase sales. Visual merchandising can also play a role in the look, feel and culture of a brand. If done well, it can create awareness while simultaneously increasing brand loyalty. Strong visual merchandising has a huge impact on the in-store customer experience. Merchandising refers to the variety of products available for sale and the display of those products. In retail commerce, visual display merchandising means merchandise sales using product design, selection, packaging, pricing and display to convince consumers to make a purchase. This includes the physical presentation of products; the decision about which product to present should corelate with the marketing & retail merchandising calendar.

3.3 Shop window display

 Window concept should be arranged according to Bateel’s latest display guide/display plan directives  Theme/category should be clear and should reflect in the colour and product selection  Detailing (spacing, labeling, ribbons, and placement) should be arranged according to Bateel standards  Open and closed boxes should be displayed  All available size boxes should be displayed  Colour combination should be maintained  Spotlights should be positioned appropriately  Items should be displayed in three dimensions, maintaining a pyramid display shape  Bateel sign must be clean and well lit  Ledges, cubes and display items should be clean and dust free
