Sustainable supply chain management

Additionally, we are also asking our suppliers to provide us with their product carbon footprint. This allows us to assess the environmental impact of the products we source and work towards reducing our overall carbon footprint. In 2023, we requested our suppliers to complete our Supplier Sustainability Assessment and sign our Supplier Code of Conduct. This ensures that our procurement process is not only economically efficient but also environmentally and socially responsible. Our commitment to sustainable practices is evident in the significant strides made in our supply chain management strategy. Key to this progress is the increased adherence of our suppliers to our code of conduct. In 2023, an impressive 96% of our purchases were from suppliers who align with our ethical standards, marking a significant leap towards sustainable procurement.

Our code of conduct serves as a guiding framework, outlining ethical, environmental, and social standards for our suppliers. These encompass fair labour practices, environmental responsibility, and integrity in business operations. The growing number of suppliers adhering to our code underscores their commitment to responsible practices, reflecting a shared vision for a sustainable future. Our emphasis on supplier adherence to our code extends beyond compliance; it signifies a proactive approach to driving positive change throughout our supply chain.

We aim to protect the environment and ensure the rights and wellbeing of all individuals involved in producing our products. Working transparently with suppliers who share this commitment, we strive to foster long-term relationships within our supply chain, collaboratively addressing challenges and seizing opportunities. Including adherence to our Supplier Code of Conduct and the completion of the Supplier Sustainability Assessment in our supplier homologation process is relevant to sustainable supply chain management because it ensures that our suppliers are aligned with our sustainability goals and practices. By assessing their adherence to environmental standards and their commitment to ethical labour practices, we can minimise negative environmental impacts and promote social responsibility throughout our supply chain. This not only mitigates risks associated with non-compliance but also fosters a more sustainable and resilient supply chain ecosystem for the long term. A sustainable approach to supply chain management supports our decarbonisation strategy, as we opt for local raw material suppliers whenever possible, reducing carbon emissions associated to transport.
