Selenis commits to facilitating women’s access to jobs with a higher added value, forging inclusive work cultures where women’s careers flourish and their achievements are celebrated. We work in a masculine sector, especially in production-related positions. However, we continue taking affirmative actions to make sure that women are present in fields related to environment, engineering, quality, sustainability, marketing, and human resources. We believe in fostering a more balanced and inclusive workforce. Our dedication to this cause was evident in 2023, as 25% of our new hires were women—a significant stride towards gender equilibrium within our company. Achieving gender equality requires intentional and proactive efforts. At Selenis, we recognise the importance of not only diversifying our workforce but also ensuring that women have equal opportunities for advancement and leadership roles. In particular, our focus on increasing female representation in management positions speaks to our dedication to promoting a culture of inclusivity and empowerment. In 2023, women comprised 23% of our management team—a statistic that surpasses the overall percentage of female employees, which has gone up from 18% to 20%. This deliberate emphasis on elevating women into leadership roles underscores our belief in the value of diverse perspectives and experiences. While Selenis has made this progress in increasing the representation of women in managerial positions, there are still opportunities to further advance gender equality within the organisation. By continuing to prioritise initiatives that support the career development and advancement of women, addressing any existing barriers or biases, and fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture, Selenis aims to create an environment where all employees have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to the company’s success. In 2023 all our internships were awarded to women in technical and sustainability fields. Our focus on nurturing female talent extends beyond mere numbers; it’s about fostering an inclusive environment where all interns can thrive. Through mentorship, support, and hands-on experience, we’re equipping these women with the skills and confidence they need to excel in their chosen fields.
