Curitiba, Brazil We partnered with the Getulio Vargas state school, to bring about all activities included in the Sol Pacífico Foundation Eco-bricks Project, transferring good practices and reaching very positive results. We facilitated the environmental education and awareness of 540 students and their families, and more than 4,000 eco-bricks were made by the students, which were later used in the construction of the benches of the school´s sports court. Additionally, Selenis funded the installation of a roof area with ecological tiles, that included a system for capturing and using rainwater, enabling a more sustainable approach to the use of water. This collaboration fostered a sense of equality and fraternity, highlighting the shared value of environmental stewardship as a universal good, transcending differences. Consequently, the project nurtured community-wide environmental consciousness by emphasising the importance of recycling and reusing materials, thus contributing to a more sustainable future.
“Participating in this project has taught me how important it is to care for the planet and to reuse and recycle the materials we use. Making the eco- bricks also helped me get closer to my family, as we all collaborated. This project has been great for us, the students and the school… now we have a great sports court!”
