potential clients, understand how to maximise the value of our sustainable packaging solutions. The initiative aimed to foster engagement across the value chain towards regeneration and circularity. Finally all the “call to actions” are starting to gain momentum, and the name of the game is now sustainability. In order for a company to be aligned with customer, market, regulatory and stakeholder expectations, it must show its green credentials. This represents a big opportunity, consumers in general want to be part of the solution and not the problem and when you are communicating as a brand the environmental benefits of your solutions, you are fulfilling said expectations and influencing the purchasing behaviour of consumers. This does not only mean revenue, but if applied properly, it can give companies a competitive edge. This has triggered the acceleration of the Environmental Strategy of various companies. However, to truly “accelerate” and claim tangible environmental benefits, it is important to understand and apply circular economy principles and sustainability frameworks that help diagnose, analyze, calculate emissions, measure and plan. By doing so, companies can define the right environmental objectives and building blocks that will support them in achieving high impact environmental results, aligned with company capabilities. Achieving alignment between the ESG Corporate Agenda and the day-to-day company operations can be a challenge since different areas tend to have different KPIs that are not necessarily aligned with sustainability goals and in many cases, the results fall short of expectations. For better results, decision making among areas should be evaluated through frameworks that focus on economic, commercial and strategic impact on the company in a short, medium and long term basis. This is how true sustainability is reached.

Rodrigo Landy Corporate Strategy Manager Evertis México

With this in mind, Evertis designed a series of workshops focusing on market trends, insights, alliances, and opportunities, as well as the definition of a roadmap that includes tools and frameworks on how to capitalise on said opportunities in order to accelerate an environmental strategy and as a result, accelerate business growth. Through business cases, research and practical exercises with our tools, we help our clients identify and choose more sustainable packaging solutions. This includes material evaluation in different scopes, supplier sustainability evaluation and communication strategy best practices. The launch of the Evertis Circular Economy Workshops was well received and valued. In 2024 we will be scaling up this initiative, replicating it with more clients and partners. By empowering teams with knowledge and strategies to embrace circular economy practices, we've taken a significant stride towards sustainable business operations and collaborating with the value chain in increasing PCR material in packaging. At Evertis we are committed to driving positive environmental impact while enhancing our customer relations through shared sustainability goals.
