Ecopack™ 0 Innovation
In 2023 Evertis introduced Ecopack™ 0 in Brazil, a high-performance co-extruded PET film made entirely from 100% PCR content. Ecopack™ is approved by Anvisa, Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency, for direct food contact. By utilising PCR content we contribute to a circular economy, ensuring that resources previously sourced from the Earth’s finite reservoirs remain in circulation. Repurposing PCR material into new packaging films conserves energy and resources while diminishing the amount of PET destined for landfills and incinerators. A standout feature of Ecopack™ 0 is its versatility. Not only is it easy to thermoform, ensuring efficient packaging processes, but it can also be recycled multiple times, reducing the environmental impact of packaging made with this film. Ecopack™ 0 combines sustainability with superior transparency and gloss properties, making it an excellent choice for various packaging requirements. Ecopack™ 0 was announced for the first time at Fispal Tecnologia 2023, in São Paulo, setting new standards for the industry and reinforcing Evertis’ position as a trusted partner for businesses in the food industry looking for more sustainable packaging solutions.
