Into the future - Evertis 2023 Sustainability Report

Our environmental management system Environment Our environmental management system is designed to make a positive contribution to our environment, aligning with SDG targets, such as integrating climate change measures into our strategy and achieving sustainable resource management, as well as ensuring environmentally sound waste management. We recognise our impact on nature and aspire to foster environmental conditions conducive to the thriving of our ecosystems. Our vision is to create a world where our operations facilitate environmental regeneration, with key objectives including reducing the environmental impact of our products throughout their lifecycle, leaving a positive impact on the regions affected by our activities, and promoting resource efficiency while embracing renewable energy sources. Our environmental management system focuses on several goals, including the wise utilisation of energy and natural resources, waste reduction through enhanced recycling and recovery efforts, and the adoption of materials and processes that pose no risk to our workforce or the environment. We integrate safe and innovative technologies that reinforce environmental protection and minimise adverse impacts while fostering a culture of environmental consciousness and responsibility among our employees. Additionally, we are committed to adhering to relevant legislation and other requirements to ensure environmental preservation through the implementation of best practices.

For the first time, all our production sites are certified to ISO 14001:2015 standards, with the recent certification of Evertis México and Evertis Brasil. This milestone confirms that all Evertis facilities adhere to the highest environmental management practices. ISO 14001 certification demonstrates to our stakeholders that we are committed to managing our environmental impacts responsibly and continuously improving our environmental performance. Moreover, it helps us comply with environmental regulations, and potentially reduce costs associated with resource consumption and waste generation.
