Into the future - Evertis 2023 Sustainability Report

Water management Environment Evertis production processes do not use significant amounts of water, being predominately used in our cooling systems. Even though our processes aren´t water intensive, we comprehensively assess environmental impacts, encompassing water usage, pollution prevention, and conservation efforts. This entails scrutinising operational water use and potential risks like pollution and scarcity. Based on this evaluation, Evertis sets objectives to enhance environmental performance, and drive water stewardship. Evertis monitors environmental performance, tracking water consumption and wastewater discharge volumes while adhering to water quality standards. The standard fosters a culture of continual improvement, prompting regular reviews to identify and rectify deficiencies in water management practices.

Share of water consumption per factory

Renascis is the more water-intensive entity, primarily attributed to the nature of its recycling operations. Recycling entails various water-related processes, notably washing, alongside other integral stages within the recycling workflow. Our production processes at Evertis Ibérica require a higher water usage compared to Evertis Brasil and Evertis México due to the lamination process. During the lamination process, water is consumed to produce the steam that is needed to heat the oven and achieve the temperature needed for the process. Our plants in Brazil and Mexico primarily involve coextrusion processes and do not demand this additional water usage.
