Comprehensive collage scholarships for indigenous youth Monterrey, Mexico
By supporting the Misión del Nayar non-for-profit organisation, we have facilitated access to quality higher education, promoting social and economic inclusion for 5 indigenous young students, aged between 19 and 22, from marginalised and impoverished regions in Mexico. This initiative implemented a comprehensive training model, fostering the acquisition and enhancement of knowledge, skills, competencies, and capacities through a study experience in Monterrey, Mexico. By ensuring access to technical or higher education, we ensure these students have a right to education, and by having basic services, the right to housing and health is also ensured.
"Hello, my name is L.G.P.G., and I am 22 years old. I am from the NAHUATL ethnic group, and I am currently studying the last semester in the Automotive Mechanics and Diesel career. Being part of Misión del Nayar has helped me a lot both personally and professionally. It has helped me to manage my time and to be more sociable, as well as fortifying my training by providing workshops with different companies that help us grow professionally. I am very grateful to Evertis for turning to see us. We are originally from low-income towns who yearn to be able to follow their dream, to study a professional career that many of us do not have the possibility of having. Misión del Nayar gives us a great opportunity. I hope that they continue to join and help young people with that dream of being able to study a professional career and be able to leave their communities to provide a better life to their family, and that their parents can feel very proud of them. At that at the end of the day it is the only thing that all of us who leave our community with the dream of being able to finish a professional career yearn for." L.G.P.G.
