Welcome Adrienne Preddie, Executive Director of Human Resources Adrienne Preddie has been named the new Executive Director for Human Resources. Preddie transitions from her role as Director of Human Resources at Ivy Tech Community College Systems Office. She will begin her new role on August 8, 2022. Before joining the Indianapolis campus, Adrienne supported the College’s state -wide recruitment strategies, with a focus on recruiting difficult to faculty and staff positions. Under her leadership, she created and implemented a supervisor education training and a mitigating bias training, a required component of the college’s hiring process. (Click here to read the complete announcement) Congratulate Alonzo Ross, Executive Director of K14 Initiatives Alonzo Ross has been named the new Executive Director for K-14 Initiatives. Ross transitions from his role as Interim Director of K-14 Initiatives at Ivy Tech Community Indianapolis. He also previously served as Senior Director for Community Engagement and Director of Dual Credit at Ivy Tech Indianapolis. Ross officially begins his new role on August 5, 2022. Before stepping into his new role, Ross served as the Interim Director for K-14 initiatives for the Indianapolis campus. Alonzo supported the College’s K -14 strategies, with a focus on connecting high school students to educational resources available through the early college access initiative. Welcome Erika Porto, Dean of Health Sciences . Dr. Di Porto comes to us from the Miami Dade College Medical Campus in Miami, Florida, where she served as Chair of Health Sciences. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the Physical Therapy Assistant, Respiratory Care, Veterinary Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Histotechnology programs. Her experiences also include program accreditation, new program design and implementation, and facility design. Committed to innovation, she actively explores cutting edge technology and served as the co-chair of the Interdisciplinary Virtual Reality (VR) Simulation Committee. Her efforts have led to finalizing the first ever MDC Interdisciplinary triage and disaster management VR scenario in collaboration with the Benjamin Leon School of Nursing, the School of Health Sciences, and the Miami Animation Gaming International Complex.
