Rings of Power Late August was a joyful time for all die-hard fans of Lord of the Rings series! Not only because news broke of an upcoming reboot of the films, but also due to the launch of a new season of The Rings of Pow- er on Amason Prime. This new sea- son is set in the Second Age of the Lord of the Rings universe and will depict the early adventures of return- ing characters like Galadriel, Elrond and the rise of the Dark Lord Sau- ron. We watched the first three ep- isodes on 29 th August, while the re- maining five instalments are set to be released weekly until 3 rd October. Slow Horses As of 4 th September, to our gen- eral joy and his general gloom, TV’s grumpiest character – the unsuccess- fully retired Jackson Lamb – returns to our screens for season four of the series Slow Horses. The baddies will probably try to kill him, and he’ll probably have to try to deal with some of them. And did we men- tion that Gary Oldman is brilliant in this role and that we can hard- ly wait to see him in his most slov- enly form for a long time to come? Squid Game 2 And to mark the culmination of the year, there will be a little cherry on top of the TV cake – as one of Netf- lix’s most popular ever shows will, of course, receive a second season, starting on 26 th December. And how could it not? The deadly game is over, thank God, so season two focuses on the maestros behind the game who want nothing more than to con- tinue their sick fun unhindered. We will only get to see what happens in this incredible show at the end of the year, and maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to binge-watch the series for New Year, provided you aren’t heading out to celebrate.
S ome of 2024’s best TV shows are already behind us, while some are yet to ar- rive. We've had Baby Rein- deer and Eric blowing our minds, while the Game of Thrones sequel is still unfolding, but there’s still much more to look forward to – from more Star Wars spin-offs to long-awaited new seasons like The Diplomat and Squid Game. There are also upcoming new gems like British crime thriller Black Doves, starring none other than Kiera Knightly. The story revolves around a secret spy who hides her identity from her new partner, only for him to get roped in- to the grim reality of London's un- derworld... There’s simply so much on offer that we had to compile a shortlist... Emily in Paris Maybe you love Emily in Par- is and maybe you can't stand it. Or maybe you just love being annoyed by it and will definitely be fired up to watch the fourth season, which arrived on Netflix mid-August. The show – about a chirpy, aspiring mar- keting executive from Chicago who joins a team in Paris – somehow out- lasted every other lockdown trend and is still with us, for better or worse. That’s why we watched the first five episodes just to have some- thing to gossip about, while the sec- ond part of season four hits screens on 12 th September. Industry HBO released the third sea- son of its hit series Industry in Au- gust. We can only expect (and hope) that it will be as brutal, sexy and vi- cious as the first two seasons, which combined some of the best TV dra-

Smrtonosna igra se, hvala bogu, završila, pa se u dru- gom delu fokusiramo na majstore igre koji ne žele ništa drugo nego da nesmetano nastave sa svojim bolesnim zabavama. Šta će se deša- vati u ovom neverovatnom ostva- renju, videćemo tek krajem godine, a možda nije loša ideja da seriju iz- bindžujete za Novu godinu, narav- no, ako ne idete nigde na doček.
