AIR SERBIA OPERATED A TOTAL OF 5,203 SCHEDULED flights from the airports in Bel- grade, Niš, and Kraljevo during July 2024, up 6.8% compared to July of last year. “Considering that, by June last year, we had expanded our network with more than 20 new destina- tions, July 2023 was then a record month in terms of the number of passengers carried and flights op- erated. We have this year exceeded that result, which is a clear indi- cator that the choice of destina- tions was good and that passengers need a greater choice when travel- ling. In the first seven months of 2024, we carried 2,427,811 pas- sengers on scheduled and charter flights, which is a 9.26 per cent in- crease year on year,” said Air Ser- bia General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Boško Rupić. He added that “charter traffic saw a slightly lower number of pas- sengers and flights compared to the same month of last year, pri- marily due to reduced passenger interest in certain charter desti- nations caused by current geopo- litical events, as well as the wider offer of destinations in scheduled operations.” Air Serbia’s most popular West- ern European destinations in July were Valencia, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca, while its most popu- lar flights in the Euro-Mediterra- nean zone were to Larnaca, Her- aklion, Istanbul, Izmir, Corfu and Rhodes. Demand for flights to Chi- na’s Tianjin was also high.
