Careers, Education, Information, Advice & Guidance ( CEIAG) Policy
1. INTRODUCTION 1.1.
SCL Group is committed to providing a comprehensive programme of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) for all learners across its divisions: SCL College, SCL Core Skills, SCL Pro (Apprenticeships), and ASF . Statutory duties apply to learners aged 16 to 18, and to those up to the age of 25 who hold an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). SCL Group to fully meets these duties and in line with our values and commitment to best practice, extends CEIAG provision to all learners, including those in adult education and higher education, where appropriate.

Effective CEIAG supports learners to make well
-informed decisions,
achieve successful transitions, and progress into further study, apprenticeships, higher education, or sustained employment.
1.5.
This policy sets out SCL Group’s approach to CEIAG, how statutory duties are met, how national frameworks are implemented, and how learners are equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed in a rapidly changing labour market.
2. INTENT AND FRAMEWORK SCL Group’s CEIAG provision aims to

Equip learners with the knowledge, skills, experiences and awareness of opportunities needed to plan and manage their future career pathways.

Provide impartial, high -quality and timely guidance that empowers learners to make informed decisions at key transition points.
2.3
Support the aspirations of all learners in progressing to further education, higher education, apprenticeships, training or employment.
