The Irvine Fine Arts Center will host the 31st annual Studio Arts Festival. This juried festival will showcase Southern California artists and their original works of art in ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, painting, photography, fiber, and glass. Movies on the Lawn: Harold & the Purple Crayon June 13: Harold & the Purple Crayon | 6:30 p.m. (movie begins after sunset) | Hicks Canyon Community Park Inside of his book, adventurous Harold can make anything come to life simply by drawing it. After he grows up and draws himself off the book's pages and into the physical world, Harold finds he has a lot to learn about real life. Better Together June 14, 10 a.m.–Noon | Lakeview Senior Center Join us for Better Together, a day for the entire community to engage as one. Everyone ages 10 and older is invited to enjoy a morning filled with fun activities including dance, fitness, crafts, an opportunity drawing, and more. Super Swim Lesson & Splash-in Movie: Moana 2 June 27, 5:30 p.m. | William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center Participate in a worldwide effort to raise awareness for drowning prevention. Arrive at 5:30 p.m. to sign up for the one-time lesson to be held at 6 p.m., then stay for a free recreation swim that includes a water slide, giant inflatables, and diving boards. At dusk, Moana 2 plays on the big screen. Lifeguards will be on duty. For recreation swim, children ages 6 and younger must be accompanied by an adult one-on-one in the water.
