Catch Moe on the Mic Legal Talk, Local Happenings, and a Whole Lot of Laughs

I’ve always loved a good conversation — and lucky for me, Florida’s vibrant podcast and radio scene gives me plenty of chances to jump behind a mic and share my thoughts. I’m not just a lawyer; I’m someone who genuinely loves this city and the people in it. That’s why you’ll hear me across Florida’s airwaves, whether I’m cracking jokes with “The Monsters in the Morning” or diving into wild conversations with John Senning on “The Senning Show.” Whether it’s legal talk, local happenings, or trying to keep up with Shawn Wasson on “The News Junkie,” I use radio and podcasts as a way to connect, educate, and have fun with the community. At Just Call Moe, we’re all about supporting what makes Florida special — not just in the courtroom, but through partnerships that lift up local voices and entertainment. We proudly sponsor a variety of shows that bring laughter, insight, and personality to the airwaves. From legal tips and safety info to local events and my ongoing search for the best chicken parm, I try to keep things light, informative, and always fun. It’s also a blast getting to trade stories with some of the most engaging personalities around — because it’s not just about sharing knowledge but building connections and having a few laughs along the way.

Here are some of the great shows we’re proud to support:

• The News Junkie – Covering the news with a twist of humor and insight • Monsters in the Morning – Big personalities and even bigger laughs • A Mediocre Time With Tom & Dan – No rules, all fun • Bungalower & The Bus – Orlando’s hidden gems with Brendan O’Connor and Jon Busdeker • Samantics Podcast – Chill vibes and fun conversations • Good Sauce With Rauce & Joel – Culture, comedy, and spicy takes • Senning Show (102.5 The Bone) – Tampa talk with laughs and insight • T.O.T.S. The Orlando Talk Show with Ross McCoy – Interesting conversations with funny Orlandoans. • Soul School Sunday (STAR 94.5) – Feel-good soul and R&B classics So, if you’re in the mood for laughs, local tips, or a little legal wisdom, tune in! You never know what you’ll hear — but it’s guaranteed to be a good time.

Outrageous Etiquette Rules From the Past When Laughing Was Scandalous

Etiquette has always been an ever-changing game, but some rules from the past are so bizarre that it’s hard to believe anyone actually followed them. From mandatory gloves to rain-soaked gentlemen, let’s take a trip back in time and appreciate just how far we’ve come in the world of social graces. Imagine being a Victorian woman at a fancy gathering. You spot someone across the room and want to strike up a conversation — but wait! If you weren’t spoken to first, you had to stay silent. Initiating conversation could ruin your social standing because heaven forbid a woman had an independent thought. And if you did manage to chat with someone, you had better keep your laughter under control. Women were expected to cover their mouths when laughing because too much joy was unacceptable. Speaking of controlling appearances, let’s talk about the ultimate fashion injustice — men and umbrellas. In 18th-century England, a man carrying an umbrella was seen as weak. A true gentleman had to brave the rain with a stiff upper lip and a soggy coat. Meanwhile, women had their own list of fashion do’s and don’ts. Gloves? Mandatory. Hair up

at all times? Absolutely. When crossing the street, a lady could only lift her dress with one hand because lifting with two hands was just too scandalous and might show off too much ankle. Photographs were another place where emotions were strictly off- limits. Smiling in photos was considered undignified, and people had to remain as serious as possible. So, if you’ve ever wondered why your great-great-grandparents looked like they just lost a bet in every old photograph, now you know! Fast forward to the 1960s, and while some rules relaxed, others remained oddly specific. Holding your drink in your right hand at a party? Absolutely not! Your right “social” hand had to stay free to shake hands and light cigarettes. And if you were a dinner guest, you had better prepare a toast — because nothing says party etiquette like being put on the spot for an impromptu speech. So, the next time you see someone laughing freely or using an umbrella without shame, take a moment to appreciate just how much times have changed!

Spring Family Picnics Made Easy DITCH THE STRESS, EMBRACE THE FUN

Don’t overthink the menu. Picnics are all about the food, but that doesn’t mean you have to fuss over the menu. Keep things simple, and choose items that can withstand time outside the cooler. Easy-to-eat options like sandwiches, fruit, and finger foods are tasty and quick to prepare. Add variety with veggies and hummus or cheese and crackers. For an extra treat, grab premade cookies or brownies. Lemonade, juice, and fruit-infused water are refreshing options and keep everyone hydrated without the caffeine. Bring an insulated cooler for drinks and food, and don’t forget wet wipes for easy cleanup. Create a cozy, kid-friendly setup. The picnic blanket is a great start, but you can take things up a notch with a few extras. Plush blankets, throw pillows, and lawn chairs

When was the last time you gathered the family, threw down a blanket, and enjoyed a meal together in the warm sun? A picnic is the perfect springtime activity, but the planning and food prep can make it seem like more hassle than it’s worth. The truth is, however, that picnics don’t have to be complicated. Here are four tips for planning easy family picnics. Pick the perfect picnic spot. When choosing a location for your picnic, think about how your family would like to spend the day. A park with open fields and playground equipment keeps kids entertained between bites, but a park isn’t the only option. The beach, a local lake, or a mountain picnic area are all fantastic for a family picnic. Just remember bug spray and sunscreen and find a shady spot on hot days.

offer comfortable sitting and lounging options. Pack entertainment as well; outdoor games, like Frisbee and ring toss, and a portable speaker to add to the fun. Don’t forget — it’s about family! Family outings shouldn’t be stressful; the best ones are sometimes the simplest. Instead of worrying about perfect details, focus on spending time together outdoors, relaxing, and enjoying good food and even better company.
