white, and daylight lighting. While these bulbs are more expensive than incandescent bulbs, they have a much longer lifespan, saving you money in the long run. These are a great option if you need accent or task lighting, but they can also be used in your ceiling fans or just about anywhere else in your home. HALOGEN This is probably the least common option on this list, but it’s still worth mentioning, especially if you prefer incandescent bulbs over LEDs. Halogens are more energy-efficient and last about three times as long as incandescent bulbs, but they run extremely hot and can produce infrared and ultraviolet radiation that can damage your furniture or artwork.
