As far as Ezekiel 38 and 39 are concerned, we do not feel that “the young lions” refer to America. Few prominent Bible teachers to day even see Tarshish as meaning England. Many things said about Tarshish in the Old Testament couldn’t possibly refer to England. The United States is not seen as such in the Old Testament. There are some who believe the time will come when we will be rendered so ineffective that we are no longer, in the end times, a great power. There is a deeper reason than that. The fact is that our land is not contiguous to the Mediter ranean Sea. We do not come into the pu rv iew of prophecy. We should remember that a nation can become strong militarily and yet be extremely weak spiritually. This is fast becoming the situa tion here. We properly dedicate our selves to the Lord, He however, is the One who consecrates us for a particular purpose. Q .
