The Rising East and the Setting West: The Shift of the Global Powers and the Destinies of the Islamic World * Mohamed El - Moctar El - Shinqiti - محمد املختار الشنقيطي ملخص تتنـاول هـذه الدراسـة ظاهـرة انزيـاح مركـز الثِّقـل يف النظـام الدولـي مـن الغـرب األطلسـي إلـى الشـرق اآلسيوي/األوراسـي، مـن منظـور الجغرافيـا السياسـية. وهـي تضــع هــذا االنزيــاح ضمــن ســياق الصــراع التاريخــي بيــن القــوى البريــة الكبــرى والقـوى البحريـة الكبـرى، ومعادلـة العالقـة بيـن القـوة الصاعـدة والقـوة السـائدة. كمـا تتلمَّــس الدراسـة موقـع العالـم اإلسـ مي مـن هـذا التحـول يف موازيـن القـوى الدوليـة، داعيـة إلـى شـحْذ العزائـم ملواجهـة هـذا التحـدي بوعـي سياسـي وحاسَّــة إس ـتراتيجية. كلمات مفاتيح: الشرق والغرب، الجغرافيا السياسية، صعود الصين، أوراسيا، العالم اإلسالمي. Abstract : This is a geopolitical study of the shift in global power from the Atlantic West to the Asian / Eurasian East , within the context the historic clash between the great land powers and great sea powers , as well as the relationship between emerging and established powers . The study also explores the impact of this shift on the Islamic World , emphasizing the need to face this challenge with determination , political awareness and strategic sense .
