These are the words of Ditti Matthia, once a slave to Communism--now a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and missionary to Germany. Subsequent to the collapse of the Third Reich in 1945, Ditti and his family lived in East Germany. During this period he joined the Communist Youth League and rose to a position of high leadership. His dedication and abilities led to speaking opportunities for the Red cause, a special citation from Stalin, university training behind the Iron Curtain, et al. Ditti’s father pastored a church; and in spite of Red propaganda to the contrary, Ditti one day discovered for himself that "the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.” Soon after Ditti’s B O B J O N E S U N I V E R S I T Y
conversion, his father’s church was confiscated by the Reds. His life threatened, Ditti’s father escaped with his family to West Germany; and from there, Christian friends brought Ditti to the States, where he learned of Bob Jones University. The ardent Christian spirit of the ¡On-id* rflo*7~ OnujSMJtX C^ru brought new warmth to a heart he thought forever chilled by the horrors of war. Bob Jones University is more than an educational institution. It could be called "God’s potter’s wheel’’ upon which lives are shaped. Ditti puts it this way; "Bob Jones University is such an intrinsic part of my life that I shall ever be grateful the Lord directed my steps there to be trained for His service.’’ had been
