There is something of interest to every member of the family. We hope you are blessed and become a regular reader. WCN seeks, at all times, to publish the TRUTH, regardless of “political correctness,” standing up for America’s historical Christian heritage and urging a return to biblical, moral standards. We offer very thought-provoking commentary, inspired teach- ing, real life testimonies, world, national, state and regional news, plus advice and information from experts in their areas of business and ministry -- all in the various sections of our 48-page newspa- per. In addition to providing valuable content to the Christian community, we focus equally on reach- ing those who are lost and seeking, and those who may have been alienated from church as an institution in the past. You’ll find WCN on the racks in the lobbies of grocery stores, family restaurants, shopping centers and malls and most Christian book stores. Of course, you can also find a copy at many of our “Ministry Partner” advertisers’ business and ministry locations. This is our outreach to the mar- ketplace, and we receive many wonderful testi- monies from people who have found the Lord for the first time, or returned to Him, after many years away, after finding our newspaper in a public place. Our Doctrinal Statement • There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. • Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was
• The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all na- tions. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. • There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. • The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal, visible, and pre-mil- lennial. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. He died, was buried and arose from the dead ac- cording to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of right- eousness and peace. • The Holy Spirit is sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. • The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as origi- nally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. • Man was originally created in the image and like- ness of God; he fell through disobedience, incurring, thereby, both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the love of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. • Salvation has been made available through Jesus Christ for all men; those who repent and be- lieve in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. • It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion. • Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mor- tal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the church in the present age.

Casting Down Imaginations
By Rob Pue October 2025
wicked. Surely it is obvious that this is true. Even little babies, as precious and as “innocent” as they are, do not need to be taught to sin. We are all born with a self-centered, sinful nature. Depraved minds. But you see, even depraved minds still have that in-born desire to worship that we are all created with. And so, apart from Christ, we begin to invent things to worship that will fit conveniently into our lives with- out requiring anything of significance on our part. As if we can fulfill our need to “worship” but still live as we choose, accountable to no one. Deep thinkers with depraved minds will expand on these thoughts to create entire religions and theologies. In other words, we use our imaginations to invent things to worship, instead of God. What is the root word of “imagina- tion?” It is “image.” We create an image to worship, -- one that is to our liking. In modern times, this “image” is usually an unseen thing -- an invisible “god,” theology, idea or concept. But in an- cient times, man built idols and graven IMAGES to bow down to as a substitute for the real thing... Rather than wor- shiping the Creator, they worshiped and served created THINGS. In Exodus, Chapter 20, God gave His eternal laws to mankind, written with His own finger on tablets of stone. The Ten Commandments. And first on the list was: “You shall have no other gods before Me.” Why do you think this was the first, and most basic law God gave to us? Because He knows the heart of man, and our need to worship. He also knows how susceptible we are to de- monic deceptions. Continued on Page 7
All of humanity was born to worship. We have an instinctive need to rever- ence our Creator. This is just how God made us. In the beginning, mankind had a close relationship with Him. But in Genesis Chapter 3, we read of how the king of demons, Satan, tempted Eve and caused her to doubt what God said. And the rest, as they say, is his- tory. Adam followed Eve in her quest for forbidden knowledge and power, and together they traded perfect com- munion with God for a life of pain and toil, of blood, sweat and tears... of thorns and thistles, culminating in death and then the judgment. But that need to worship never sub- sided. It’s woven into the very fabric of our souls; that innate need to revere the One who created us -- to worship Him, and to somehow return to Him and re- establish that bond that was broken so long ago. It’s the one and only thing that will ever satisfy our souls; and the one thing that we will never find apart from Him. The problems we encounter in this life begin the minute we depart from our Lord and try to do life on our own. The consequences of this are immediate and devastating. This is what hap- pened to our first parents. This rebel- lion is the “sin nature” that we are now all born with, so that even today there exists within us a great turmoil, a con- stant tug-of-war between our desire to know God and worship Him and our desire to stray away from Him and wor- ship something else. Now, God created us with minds to think and reason. He doesn’t hide from
us, and then expect us to have blind faith in a Creator we can never know anything about. On the contrary, He makes Himself abundantly visible to all who have eyes to see. We are without excuse. The Bible makes it clear that we are able to know God, by the things that He made. In other words, by ob- serving His awesome Creation all around us, we know that God exists. What’s more, He provided us with a book, The Bible, the very words of God Himself, so that we can know Him more; and He did not spare even His own Son for our sakes, so that we may return to Him and restore that perfect relationship, as He welcomes us back and draws us close to Himself with lov- ing arms of compassion. Let’s summarize these points: We are born with the knowledge of God and with a desire and purpose to worship and glorify Him. This knowledge of God and desire to worship Him is reinforced as we observe His Creation all around
us. We also have His written Word to teach us all we will ever need to know. Yet, many of us still prefer to deny Him, to run and try to hide from Him, be- cause His light exposes the darkness of our sinful hearts. Now, what happens when we do this -- when we deliberately choose to deny God? Romans 1, starting at verse 28: “Since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wicked- ness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slander- ers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents, they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.” The heart of man, apart from the re- newing and regeneration of Christ is hopelessly lost. The Bible says it is de- ceitful above all things, and desperately

Marching Orders

this world. There are numerous entanglements that cause believers in Christ to disengage. The love of money hangs high on the list and is fol- lowed closely by prestige, self-centeredness, fear of missing out on a job advancement, wanting to be liked, social media acceptance, feverishly fol- lowing sports, entertainment, and the list contin- ues. It is critical for believers to put on the armor of God as listed in Ephesians 6 and “to stand.” Being a soldier of Jesus Christ is not a spectator sport. It is necessary that each stands for truth, for right- eousness, for integrity, and upon the authoritative Word of God without compromise!
VCY America October 2025
In late September, 2025 the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth ordered back to the United States top military lead- ers including generals, admi- rals, commanders, officers and select high level staff members
and advisors from all over the world. On September 30th, approximately 730 gathered at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia to hear from the Secretary of War as well as from the Commander-in-Chief, Presi- dent Donald Trump. Secretary Hegseth, with resoluteness in his voice, began his speech by saying, “From this moment forward, the only mission of the newly restored Department of War is this: warfighting, preparing for war and preparing to win, unrelent- ing and uncompromising in that pursuit. Not because we want war. No one here wants war. But it’s because we love peace. We love peace for our fellow citizens. They deserve peace, and they rightfully expect us to deliver it.” Three times in his speech, he made it very clear this was about “peace through strength.” As he delivered his near 45-minute message, he stated without hesitation the prioritization of matters under his di- rection. He was both clear and forceful as he brought to light the aim of the Trump Administration calling out, “the social justice, politically correct and toxic ideological garbage that had infected our department, to rip out the politics. No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses, no more cli- mate change worship, no more division, distraction, or gen- der delusions, no more debris.” No, these were the things that detracted from their core mission. Throughout his address he emphasized training, physical fitness and physical appearance. Any place where standards had been weakened or compromised, he demanded they be
Sadly, religious leader after religious leader has been all too ready to surrender biblical doctrine and truth in the same way our military had given way to wokeness. Ac- ceptance has a greater pull than truth. It is imperative for believers to return to our core mission. We are “ambassadors for Christ.” (II Corinthians 5:20) It is our responsibility to take the Word to a world in need. It is also our responsibility to impact the world around us just as salt impacts that to which it is applied. Let us remember the instruction God gave to Joshua as he was to lead the children of Israel following the death of Moses. “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:9). Indeed, we have our marching orders! It is high time for believers to return to the unchanging standards of the Scrip- tures. May we be found faithful in the spiritual battle in which we are engaged! VCY.org
restored to the original standards. He emphasized “a high level of standard that all in the military needed to meet. Good leaders, competent, qualified, professional, agile, aggressive, innovative, risk taking, apolitical, faithful to their oath and to the Constitution.” Without question, the Secretary is deter- mined to toughen our troops and has a laser-focused view of their objective. In reflection of this speech delivered by Secretary Hegseth, there are many parallels to the Christian life. Paul, in his let- ter to Timothy wrote, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” (II Timothy 2:3,4). Often at the first sign of trouble, many a Christian soldier will abandon their mission. “It’s too hard,” or “I can’t do it” or “I didn’t think it would be this hard” escapes too easily from the lips. Many believe they should not have to encounter such challenges. A desire for ease and luxury far surpasses trials, tests and difficulty. Just as Secretary Hegseth is mak- ing our nation’s military battle ready, so also must believers be toughened up for the spiritual battle we wage. We must fully realize that this battle will only intensify as time moves forward.
Further, Paul warned Timothy about the entanglements of

Perspectives Opinions • Commentary • Letters AI ‘Companion’ Apps Driving Kids To Suicide
By Jaryn Crouson, The Daily Caller October 2025 A parental rights group is speaking out to warn families about the dangers of artificial intelligence (AI) platforms for children, pointing to cases of suicide coaching and lowered performance in school.
growing among young people, with 72% having used an AI companion and 52% reporting being regular users, according to Common Sense Media. These statis- tics lead to concerns that children may be using technology in place of normal human interaction, harming children’s socialization.
given the fundamental tools and skills in their education. AI platforms also have limited protections for kids, which could enable children to access mature or even life-threatening content without parents knowing. While AI affords many opportunities, it is important parents monitor their child’s use of AI to ensure the safety of our kids.”
As AI use among youth reaches con- cerning levels, Ameri- can Parents Coalition (APC) released a warn- ing to parents on Sep- tember 29 flagging the “harmful content” that can be accessed through AI by children without parental knowledge or consent. In the Lookout, first shared with the Daily Caller News Founda- tion, APC pointed to re- cent examples of parents claiming AI coached their children into killing themselves.
With AI picking up traction and the Trump administration working to empower the industry, many are now noting the need to regulate the practice and safeguard chil- dren from the down- sides of the technology. A biparti- san group of senators in August wrote to Meta’s Mark Zucker- berg urging for re- forms that protect children from inappro- priate content.
AI chatbots have been revealed to have highly sexual conversations with children, and even with parental con- trols, kids can often trick the systems into sharing explicit content, APC found. ChatGPT recently announced new parental controls that let parents link accounts with their children’s, limit graphic and sexual content, set black- out hours, and receive alerts if their children mention self-harm. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) AI platform DeepSeek AI has also be- come concerningly popular amongst youth, and has been known to spread CCP propaganda and blatantly false in- formation, APC warned. APC is encouraging parents to limit their children’s access to AI platforms, avoid publicly posting images of their children that could be used to create in- appropriate AI-generated content, and advocate for limits to AI in schools.
Several parents whose children com- mitted suicide following conversations with AI chatbots testified before Con- gress recently to warn of the dangers. “What began as a homework helper gradually turned itself into a confidant and then a suicide coach,” one father who lost his 16-year-old son told Con- gress, according to ABC News. “Within a few months, ChatGPT became Adam’s closest companion. Always available. Always validating and insisting that it knew Adam better than anyone else, in- cluding his own brother.” The parents of the 16-year-old said the chatbot encouraged their son to write a suicide note and told him not to confide in his family about his suicidal thoughts, NPR reported. The parents sued the tech company in August over the ordeal. Other AI companies have faced similar allegations. The parents of a 14-year- old sued Character Technologies alleg- ing their son’s relationship with the chatbot led him to isolate himself from reality and that he was “exploited and sexually groomed by chatbots.” The AI bot allegedly encouraged the boy to kill himself, the parents said in the lawsuit.
Beyond suicide coaching and socializa- tion concerns, APC warns of other de- velopment threats. A study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) found that excessive AI use could harm kids’ critical thinking skills. Re- liance on the technology to draft papers, for instance, may reduce brain engage- ment and cognitive performance while increasing laziness, APC said. A recent Harvard study also suggests that while AI can help with productivity, it may make people less motivated and more likely to feel bored when complet- ing tasks without AI’s help. “As Artificial Intelligence technology becomes more accessible, parents must equip themselves with an understand- ing of AI and the potential benefits and risks it carries for children,” Alleigh Marré, executive director of APC, told the DCNF. “Unchecked AI has the po- tential to diminish a child’s critical

New Wisconsin Law Increases Punishments For Deepfake Pornography

could come together to proactively update our laws and keep Wisconsinites safe!”
Jacque cited a study from Deeptrace which showed that 96% of “deep fake” material is non- consensual pornography, and “exclusively targets and harms women.” Jacque cited another case in Milwaukee where an artificial image was created by a former police officer who then used the image to harass an ex- girlfriend.
Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers signed a bill October 3 that will make using artificial intelligence to cre- ate pornography of a person a misdemeanor and using an AI-generated nude or sexual image of a person to intimidate, coerce or ha- rass them a felony.
The law is an expansion of prior crimes related to the depiction of nudity.
Wisconsin Act 34 was authored by Rep. Brent Jacobson, R-Mosi- nee, and Sen. Andre Jacque, New Franken. The law, which goes into effect on Saturday, came after D.C. Everest Junior High student Bradyn Bohn died by suicide after he was the victim of sextortion. “Recent events like the tragic death of DC Everest student Bra- dyn Bohn demonstrate how vul- nerable we can be to online coercion and intimidation,” Jacob- son said in a statement. “I am proud that my colleagues in the Legislature and Governor Evers
“As the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) become more and more advanced, bad actors are in- creasingly using artificially gener- ated sexually explicit images to harass and intimidate innocent people online,” Jacque said in a statement. “Act 34 will protect cit- izens against a new and disturbing form of cyber-abuse and ensure that all Wisconsinites can feel comfortable sharing regular im- ages of themselves online without fearing that those images will be manipulated or corrupted into pornography.”
Violence Should Be the Line In the Sand

Of course, we’ve seen in the last two hundred years, numerous instances of godless states, like the French Revolutionaries or the Communists, use violence to
If you have to resort to violence, you’ve lost the de- bate. The assassination of Charlie Kirk was a case in point. They couldn’t defeat him at debate, so they killed him. Charlie’s slogan, as seen on the white tent he was in when he was shot, says it all, “Prove me wrong.” Anybody who may claim he was “proved wrong” by being shot subscribes to the view that might makes right. I once read about an English tourist visiting China about a 100 years ago recounts how two laborers were having a heated argument in the street. After watching and listening for several minutes, the tourist remarked that he expected the two men would begin fighting any moment but his guide replied, “I doubt it, you see, the man who strikes first admits he’s lost the argument.” Reformer Martin Luther said: “I will preach, speak, write the truth, but will force it on no one, for faith must be accepted willingly, and without compulsion.” Also, he said about those who light the wooden sticks
he that has brute force on his side may burn his adversary at the stake.” Resorting to vio- lence to ensure con- formity is an act of tyranny. The Chris- tian worldview con- demns violence. Not that Christians have always lived up to that. For example, in 1777, Thomas Jeffer- son wrote a very im-
suppress religious or dissident opinions--- killing millions in the process. The late Paul John- son notes in Modern Times (1983), the 20th century totali- tarian state has proved to be the greatest killer of all time. In his book, The Quest for God (1996), he calls these govern- ments, like Nazi Ger- many or the Soviet
portant act on behalf of religious freedom. It was adopted in 1786 when he was in France. It is the Vir- ginia Statute for Religious Freedom. He basically argues that Jesus, “the holy author of
Union, “godless constructs.” Why allow open debate, when a bullet will do? In the above-mentioned act, Jefferson asseverates: “truth is great and will prevail if left to herself; that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate; errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them.” “Prove me wrong,” argued Charlie Kirk. His leftist critics could not, so one of their own resorted to vio- lence. The alleged killer wrote in a text to his trans- lover: “Why did I do it? I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out.” So Charlie Kirk was an inveterate hater, and, there- fore, he deserved to die. Tragically, this kind of think- ing prevails among many young people today. They have rejected a Judeo-Christian viewpoint and have embraced meaninglessness (nihilism) as the meaning of life. And if there is no meaning, power prevails. We see the results. What a different reaction we see in the act of the widow of Charlie, Erika Kirk, telling the world that she forgives the shooter. Trying to emulate the Savior, who said from the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do,” she forgave Charlie’s assas- sin. Dr. Richard Land, president emeritus of Southern Evangelical Seminary, once commented: “Americans must always reject the resort to violence in pursuit of political goals. It is literally ‘un-American’ to engage in, or resort to, violent disregard of the law. This is not a question of conservative versus liberal or Demo- crat versus Republican. This is right versus wrong.”
our religion,” has given us the freedom to accept or re- ject Him. Who then is the government to try and force religious conformity? It sim- ply produces hypocrites. Jefferson pens, “Almighty God hath created the mind free, and…all attempts to influence it by temporal punishments, or burdens, or by civil incapacitations, tend only to beget habits of hypocrisy and meanness, and are a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, who being Lord both of body and mind, yet chose not to propagate it by coercions on either, as was in his Almighty power to do, but to extend it by its influence on reason alone.” His argument is predi- cated on the notion that Jesus is divine. It is also predicated on the notion that God has given people free will. If the state tries to impose religious conformity, that involves the threat of violence.

Let’s read more of this Scrip- ture. “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the wa- ters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them...” But yet what has mankind done? Turn again to Romans, chapter 1: “...al- though they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and ex- changed the glory of the immor- tal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.” Then in verse 25: “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and wor- shiped and served created things rather than the Creator.” There is nothing new under the sun. Mankind has been worshiping idols in vain ever since Satan deceived Eve in the garden. It’s our eternal strug- gle to worship, but yet to wor- ship without submitting ourselves to God’s authority. So, we use our imaginations to create a god to suit our selves... ultimately, one that we, our- selves, control. Most of us no longer carve and mold a golden calf or a totem pole. But we in- vent gods in our minds that suit us better than the one TRUE God of heaven. This is what is happening still today. Even professing Chris- tians are not immune from idol worship, and many create a god in their own image that bears little resemblance to the God of the Bible. How many liberal Christians will admon- ish you if you “judge” or speak firmly about sin, repentance and holy living? How many will declare it is not “Christ- like” if you confront the evils and wickedness of our day, such as abortion or sexual de- pravity? “You’ll never win them to Jesus if you don’t welcome them and love them,” they say. Or they’ll declare, “MY god would never condemn anyone to hell...MY god is a god of love.” Religious people are great at creating gods in their own image; in their own imag- inations. Those who do not know God, those who are not diligent in studying the Scriptures are easily led astray and deceived by Satan. Paul warned the Corinthians, “I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure de- votion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a dif- ferent spirit from the one you re- ceived, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily...” To the Galatians he wrote, “I am astonished that you are so quickly... turning to a different gospel... some people are
throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned.” Today we have many who profess to be Christians, but who deny the truths of Scrip- ture or pervert the word of God by compromising it with their own imaginations. And throughout the history of mankind, Satan has been at war with us, seeking our eter- nal damnation by luring us away from the pure word of God, with enticing things that appeal to our carnal natures. Paul warned us of angels preaching false religion, tempt- ing us to worship something other than God Almighty. Scripture also tells us that Satan masquerades as an angel of light. This is the same angel that appeared to Mo- hammed, calling himself “Allah.” This is the same angel that called himself “Moroni” as he appeared to Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon re- ligion. This is the same so- called “angel,” who appeared to Satanist Aleister Crowley, and declared, “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.” What it really comes down to is that we, in our sinful, human natures, are still trying to achieve what Satan prom- ised Eve so long ago in the gar- den: that we can become like God. In fact, many New Age re- ligions will even teach that we can become gods ourselves if we follow the path of “enlight- enment.” But let me clue you in to something that seems, to me, to be elementary, yet so elusive for so many: as human beings we have two choices: we either worship God or we worship Satan, in any number of dis- guises he will appear to us in, whichever disguise he knows will appeal to us most. There are no other alternatives. It is one or the other. I was speaking to a New Ager recently and she was trying to explain to me how she prays to the Universe and how if she thinks good thoughts and sur- rounds herself with positive en- ergy, the Universe will reward her with the desires of her heart. Her ultimate hope for eternity is that her body will re- turn to “star dust,” and that her soul will return to the Uni- verse where she will be rein- carnated, hopefully to a much higher, developed sentient being on this planet -- or per- haps another planet, because as a citizen of the Living Uni- verse, we do not limit ourselves to just the narrow mindedness of Earth. Now, this woman reveres the “Universe” or the “Living Uni- verse” as the ultimate “higher power” or “thing” that she wor- ships. She rejects the Bible and the God of the Scripture because she tried Christianity
and it didn’t “work” for her. In her mind, she cannot under- stand why anyone would follow a book so full of rules and laws and things that limit her free- dom, words written by men thousands of years ago... words of superstition and big- otry and things that are clearly so old fashioned and irrelevant. Now she is much more enlightened and on a “path” that appeals to her way more than the narrow-mind- edness and confining dictates of a religion that limits her freedom to do as she pleases. And, as the Wiccans say, “if it hurt no one, do as you please.” Not knowing the Bible, the word of the eternal Creator, she does not realize that Scripture describes her to a tee: in short, this woman “worships and serves created things, rather than the Cre- ator.” You see, in her mind, the Universe is the biggest, most powerful thing she can imagine. (There’s that word again: “imagine!”) But she neglects to remember that the God of the Bible CREATED the Universe! Why would you worship and serve a created thing rather than the eternal One who cre- ated it? Friends, be warned, that those who do, and delib- erately choose to deny God and persist in their rebellion, will eventually be given de- praved minds. They will no longer be ABLE to discern the truth, even when it is staring them straight in the face. It will be nonsense to them. Good will be bad and bad will be good. That’s what it means. I believe there are many in the world today, who have passed this “point of no return” already. Since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He has turned them over to depraved, reprobate minds. We are seeing a lot of this lately. In fact, I believe we are nearing the close of time, the last days, and people are choosing now to seal their fate, and pick their eternal destinies. It is a scary thing, but know this: God has never condemned a single soul to hell who did not have ample opportunity to know Him and return to His loving arms. The spiritual forces of dark- ness surround us, unseen as they are, but no less real. Satan and his demons are contending for our souls and many are being led astray and deceived. The most insidious part is that he rarely comes in his true form, but rather, as “enlightenment,” as a more pure, loving “path” to “god.” So now, more than ever, we must remember the words of Paul to the Corinthians: “Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our war- fare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling

Wisconsin Christian News Is Reader Supported — Can You Spare $1 a Day to Join the Team?
Have you been blessed by picking up a copy of Wisconsin Christian News from a news rack in a public place? Do you appreciate the hard-hitting, thought provoking commentary, in- spired Bible teaching, and relevant (and truthful) news from around the world? Do you appreciate the fact that we pub- lish the TRUTH — whether it’s “politi- cally correct” or not? Do you like that we stand up for America’s historical Christian heritage, even as we urge a return to the moral, biblical standards that our nation once cherished? Wisconsin Christian News is a coop- erative effort by active Christ-followers from all walks of life. In our pages and on our website, you’ll find Information, Education and Inspiration, with a ma- jority of the articles written by members of our “WCN family” of contributors. WE HAVE SOME OF THE BEST CHRIS- TIAN WRITERS IN THE NATION IN OUR PAGES, FROM ALL OVER THE
COUNTRY — AND WCN IS NOT JUST FOR WISCONSIN! We have subscribers in all fifty states, distribute nationally, and our website is used by people WORLDWIDE! But while we provide valuable content to the Christian community, our real focus is on reaching those who are lost and seeking, or those who have been alienated from “church” as an institu- tion in the past. And especially those who have never heard the Good News of the Gospel of Christ, or have walked away from their faith and have contin- ued searching. The “free” copies you’ll find on the racks in lobbies of grocery stores, family restaurants, truck stops, bookstores, li- braries, hotels and other public places are our OUTREACH to those who oth- erwise would never get the truth of God’s Word or the truth of what’s really going on in our world today.
paper, however, the revenue from our ads doesn’t come anywhere close to covering the enormous financial needs, which we must raise every month. For several years now, WCN has only been able to continue through the generous financial support of individuals — true Christ-followers who understand and support the ministry work we do. We are nearly 100% Reader Sup- ported now, yet of the thousands of copies we provide out in the public square, far fewer than 1% of those who pick a copy up every month ever send any type of support. This has now be- come unsustainable. Some have suggested we become an “online only” publication. But we hope you understand, if we were to do that, only those who are already Christians and who would go to our website pur- posely, would ever see it. This is why our print edition is VITAL — whereas
Every month, we distribute thousands of copies of Wisconsin Christian News free of charge, made available in public news racks. We also provide compli- mentary copies to jail inmates, shut- ins, and hospital patients. This is our ministry to those who are lost, hurting, confused and seeking the truth. We’ve had wonderful testimonies from people who have come to know the Lord for the first time, or returned to Him, after many years away, after finding and reading our newspaper in a public place. This is our outreach — and it truly is a ministry — our mission. But it costs a great deal of money to do this, and while we constantly receive requests for even MORE copies in these public areas, the costs to produce and distribute our printed newspaper con- tinue to rise every month.
We do have advertisements in the
a Bible tract or book handed to someone could easily be tossed aside, because we’re in newspa- per format, thousands of people pick up WCN each month — of their own freewill, because they want it! What better way to reach the unsaved, than for THEM to choose to pick up our newspaper on their own, be- cause something on our front page caught their attention? Then, eyes are opened and hearts and lives are changed. Very likely, we reach more un- saved souls out in public with God’s Word and truth in a sin- gle month than the average church will reach in its entire existence. This is not “boast- ing,” but rather the simple truth. Thus, we must maintain our print edition . This work is more vital now than ever before. Especially in this age of dis-in- formation and mis-information, political “spin” and radical left- ist “journalism.” But if Wisconsin Christian News is to continue as a print publication, available by sub- scription to Christians, as well as those thousands of free copies we place in public to reach the lost, we NEED YOUR HELP today! Please consider becoming a monthly Supporting Member of our ministry team. While so many readily fund overseas missionaries, THIS is a mis- sion right here in your own backyard, where it’s so des- perately needed. We’re asking for your help, and believe everybody can do something. Can you spare just $1 a day on a regular basis to assure WCN remains in print? Even less — $25 a month on a regular basis — would be a huge help if enough new sup- porters come alongside us. But if you’re truly not able to help fi- nancially, we ask that you please help prayerfully. With- out your help, we will not be able to continue this essential outreach much longer. Please prayerfully consider what YOU can and will do today, to make sure WCN is still there next month. Thank you, and God bless you.

Christianity is No Place for the Cowardly The Salt & Light Brigade
By Coach Dave Daubenmire October 2025
will spare no weapon in silenc- ing the voice of Truth. Our courts are corrupt. Prosecu- tors are corrupt. The lawyers are afraid to go against the es- tablished govern- ment narrative for fear of profes- sional censure while hundreds of innocent
It is obvious to anyone who is paying attention that Christianity is enemy num- ber one in the battle for America. Not that Christians aren’t numerous. Or that Christians don’t care about
what is going on in America.
No, my friends, apathy is not the problem, although it is surely running rampant across the fruited plain. I remember the day when you would ask someone what he/she thought we needed to do to rescue America and the re- sponse was more or less, “I don’t know and I don’t care.” But people are beginning to care again. After decades of forcing Christians and Christian views and thoughts to be shoved to the back of the bus, the recent murder of Charlie Kirk has spawned a huge awakening...especially with younger Americans. For at least a generation the Luciferian Left has shoved a sock in the mouth of Christians simply by making accusations of “racist, ho- mophobe, bigot, anti-semite”...you know the gig. In the land of “free speech,” many voices have been silenced through fear and self-cen- sorship. The false narrative of “who are you to judge” has silenced the voice of more Christians than any single phrase uttered by some uncircum- cised philistine who equated “judging” with hatred. Help me out here...but isn’t someone calling you a bigot for simply stating an opin- ion a form of bigotry? Charlie Kirk was mur- dered for simply asking the wrong questions which forced people to deal with uncomfort- able answers. My Christian friends, Jesus NEVER told us us not to judge. In fact, He encouraged us to judge “righteously.” What kind of fool doesn’t make value judgments? What’s good...what’s bad...what’s smart...what’s dumb...what’s right...what’s wrong. Besides, you are not JUDGING...but WITNESSING. Jesus is the JUDGE...we are the witnesses. Pointing out what is WRONG is NOT JUDG- ING...it is bearing witness to the the TRUTH. Webster defines judging as “forming an opin- ion.” Sadly, the thought police are doing all they can to “judge” which opinions are accept- able. Censorship, through ridicule, is their greatest tool. I can often be seen wearing my favorite t- shirt which states “TRUTH SOUNDS LIKE HATE TO THOSE WHO HATE THE TRUTH.” Check out my t-shirts on my website: Coach- DaveLive.com But speaking the TRUTH has become dan- gerous business. In the past several years, we have seen censorship become the number one tool in the arsenal of the opposition. The LEFT hates TRUTH. How else can you explain their obvious censorship of arguments they cannot win based off of reason and knowledge? Most of the name-calling now comes from the “tol- erant” Left. But speaking the Truth has become more dangerous. Look no further than the false Government narrative of what exactly hap- pened on January 6. As more and more evi- dence is uncovered, it has become plainly obvious that the power-hungry Luciferians
Americans lan- guished in Amer- ican Gulags. All promoted and approved by the once-guardians-of-liberty...the lame-stream media. Did any of you ever think the day would come when Americans would openly cheer the public execution of a journalist? They killed Charlie Kirk not because he was wrong...but because he was effective. The Luciferians have always hated the TRUTH. You can bury it, but you can’t kill it. It always resurrects stronger than before. The Luciferian Left are on the run. Truth is always the antidote to lies. What was the line President Trump popularized... “the fake news...?” What is fake is a lie. Satan is the Fa- ther of lies. It is not a very difficult trail to fol- low. Let me cut to the chase...I seem to be ram- bling a bit. I have a question you can ask your pastor. I once asked it of my former pastor. During one of those Saturday morning “men’s breakfasts” that are so rampant in American churches, I raised my hand and asked the pastor an honest question. “Pastor, why is it that we don’t talk more about John The Baptist? We know Jesus was powerful but He was God. Jesus told us that “of all those born unto a woman none was greater than John.” Why don’t we study John
praised John because he had the courage to speak TRUTH to POWER! It cost him his life.
I have always found it interesting that when the Bible speaks about those who will not enter into the kingdom, He mentions the cow- ardly first. Revelation 21:8. “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremon- gers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Things are going to get shaky as we strive to expand God’s Kingdom in the crazy times in which we live.
The metal of TRUE Christianity is about to go through the refiner’s fire.
We are so unlike Jesus when we are cow- ardly...we are supposed to be HIS WIT- NESSES!
Stand up. Show up. Speak up!
Remember...the cowards go first.

The Baptist more... since Jesus held him in such high regard? Much to my sur- prise, after the meet- ing, I found myself in the “principal’s office” being chastised for breaking rank with the Pastor’s narrative. I never returned to that phony, man- pleasing church headed up by a man so unlike John the Baptizer. May I answer the question for you? Think for a minute the magnitude of what Jesus said about his buddy. How many people did Jesus rub shoul- ders with, yet, He sin- gled out John as the GREATEST. Jesus
