Over the years, FACCT has been hon- ored by state senators, circuit court judges, lawyers, and medical doctors by

cific field of practice). There is also a place for qualified FACCT-licensed per- sonnel to become Board Certified Super- visors and Instructors after they have been thoroughly vet- ted and meet our standards. FACCT exists to help certify and license qualified Christian providers. The goal of FACCT is to help enable qualified Christians who are called by God to become involved in the counseling ministry, thereby helping to satisfy the require- ments for licensure in regard to their counseling practice. After 32 years of hard work, and the grace of God, FACCT has an excellent testimony for the Lord and has proven its worth. FACCT has an outstanding record in various state courts, including right here in our home state of Florida. Many
of the thirty original founding members of FACCT from 1993 are still active and serving within the organization. More information about FACCT can be found on our website, www.FACCT93.com . Should you have any questions regarding FACCT, please feel free to call the national office at 352- 429-5600 or you may email: facct93@outlook.com . FACCT members are respected indi- viduals in their workplaces, churches, and communities who strive to help the hurting by making Jesus Christ known in the counseling environment and by the very lives they lead. Our prayer is that Christian counselors everywhere would continue to be faithful in their witness for Jesus Christ so that He may be lifted high across our land and be made known to those who have yet to believe.
We live in a world that is hostile toward God, gospel influence, and biblical teachings. Many people today won’t darken the doors of a church but still need to be reached with the love of Jesus Christ, and the Lord is counting on you and I to stand in the gap to reach the lost. Perhaps you have a heart for evangel- ism, have received a calling from God, are working as a Christian professional, or want to start you own counseling prac- tice but aren't sure how to get started. This is where FACCT comes in. The Federal Association of Christian Counselors and Therapists, Inc. (FACCT) is a Christian certification and licensing entity for qualified therapists, counselors, and laymen. Beginning with thirty original members, FACCT was originally founded in April 1993, as the Florida Association of Chris- tian Counselors and Therapists, Inc. In 2013 it was re-named the Federal Asso- ciation of Christian Counselors and Ther- apists, Inc. By God’s grace and faithfulness, FACCT overcame numer- ous challenges through the years which included the State Professional Licens- ing Board, Florida Department of Health, law enforcement agencies, and threats by secular therapists. FACCT also met and overcame other obstacles via the court system by God’s favor. Success was eventually achieved through accept- ance by the Florida Department of Cor- rections recognizing FACCT-licensed therapists as being qualified sex offender evaluators and treatment providers. Nu- merous judges in other states have rec- ognized FACCT therapists as fully qualified and proficient. The acceptance of FACCT licenses by other entities have made it possible for licensed members to perform evaluations, perform therapy, and offer treatment services for clients who are court-ordered to do so.
their client referrals to FACCT- licensed therapists. There ex- ists a tremendous need for qualified Christian counselors and therapists who strive to employ a biblically-based worldview in their work, share the gospel message of Jesus Christ, and who help do the work of building the kingdom of God.
It is our belief that you, or someone you know, may stand in need of the things FACCT offers. FACCT strengthens and undergirds hundreds of counseling min- istries across America and around the world as people serve according to their calling, education, and experience. FACCT has nothing whatsoever to do with any federal, state, or local govern- ment. They are a self-regulated national organization that now has international reaches. Today, FACCT has member- ship representation in 22 states and sev- eral countries, including Canada, Costa Rica, and West Africa. FACCT members serve the Lord in many areas, including the U.S. Armed Forces, Veteran’s Ad- ministration, state hospitals, mental health facilities, medical organizations, bible colleges, and law offices. Our chap- lains serve in prisons, industrial settings, and hospice care. FACCT is open to any born-again be- liever now working in the mental health or counseling field who meets their li- censing requirements. Psychologists, clinical therapists, medical doctors, so- cial workers, marriage and family thera- pists, pastors, educators, attorneys, college presidents, church counselors and laypersons who meet the standards are all invited to apply for membership, certification, or licensure. FACCT recog- nizes bible schools and universities whose course work is acceptable in help-
years’ experience in ministry, and be an ordained minister by an acceptable ec- clesiastical body in order to become li- censed. For professional Christian women belonging to a denomination that does not ordain women (such as Bap- tists), FACCT can accept a Licensed Minister of Counseling certificate in lieu of ordination. This certificate identifies you as a member of the clergy and of- fers members protections and privi- leges, namely the protection of yourself and those you counsel with. All persons licensed by FACCT must have at least thirty semester hours of Bible, or equivalent college hours. Can- didates seeking to be Certified Pastoral Counselors must be working towards their 30 Bible hours. All applicants are required to pass a criminal background check. Please see our website, www.facct93.com , to view the other certification and licensure require- ments. FACCT reserves the right to re- fuse membership, certification, or licensure to anyone and for any reason we feel that does not line up with the tenets of Scripture. Please support FACCT by becoming a member today! FACCT offers five different levels of membership and of- fers many different levels of licensure and certification (depending upon edu- cational degree, college transcript, practicum/supervision hours, and spe-
