THESIS COURSE SEQUENCE: Thesis First Draft will be taken at the completion of 64 units, and Thesis Final Draft at the completion of 80 units. Neither is applicable toward graduation unless both have been completed. Some prelimi­ nary steps must be completed by the end of the semester prior to taking Thesis First Draft. See the Talbot graduate student handbook for details. PRACTICAL THEOLOGY AITERNATNE: For students anticipating a career teaching in higher education, the courses PT 791 and PT 792 may be replaced by CE 791 and CE 792. For either type of substitution, a written petition is necessary, ap­ proved by the facu lty advisor and filed with the director of records. BIBLE EXPOSITION AITERNATNE: For one of the three required Bible Exposition courses (ex­ cluding BE 505) the student may substitute four units of Greek or Hebrew exegesis electives. MASTER OF DMNI1Y CURRICULA FOR MAJORS IN MISSIONS TuQ biblical languages are required: Greek and Hebrew Hebrew is scheduled first , but Greek may be taken first if: I) The student qualifies to enter directly into NT 505, or 2) beginning Greek is taken in the summer prior to enrollment in the first fall semester, or 3) the student plans to extend the program beyond three years. GREEK: NT 505 (fall) and NT 506 (spring) (four units each) are required beyond beginning Greek. Aqualifying examination is available to all interested students. Those who pass the examina­ tion may enroll directly in NT 505, and the rest must take NT 50 I and NT 502 (two units each) as a prerequisite to NT 505. HEBREW: OT 603 (fall) and OT 604 (spring) (four units each) are required. Aqualifying ex­ amination is available to interested students. Those who pass the examination may take OT 604 , plus four units of Hebrew electives instead of OT 603
