of Union County The Urban League of Union County Inc. (ULOUC),

founded in 1944, is a nonprofit community-based organization in Elizabeth, New Jersey. ULOUC is one of 89 affiliates of the 107-year-old National Urban League located in New York City. The mission of the Urban League is to assist African Americans and other minority group members in the achievement of social and economic equality. ULOUC employs the tools and methods of social work and intervenes at all points in the social and economic structure where the interest of blacks and other minorities and the poor are at stake. ULOUC supplies information on the minority population, conducts surveys, training programs, secure jobs, motivate youth, and provides essential services in education, housing, health, and welfare.
